Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> Player 161 How to Uncloak
Report, edit, etc...Posted by LegitXeris on 2004-12-22 at 14:54:13
hey guys

I read in other forum that dt can be uncloaked. How do i do that. I understand that player 161 can only cloak one unit and thats exactly what i want to do. just wondering could i also cloak a zealot and uncloak a dt in same map?

Here is a way to uncloak a DT. I found it in an earlyer post I forgot who started it.[attachmentid=3479]

just so that you do not get confuesd, the dt preplaced for p1 is not needed. and why dont you search the forums for threads on it first because there has been 3 or 4 recently and to answer your second questions: no you can only cloak/unclaok 1 unit in a game.

Yes, you could. Try this formula:

First place an arbiter for player 1, then a zealot under it. Then place the player 161 Dark Templar. Then in the game, use triggers to remove the arbiter.

That should work, as player 161 will invert the state of currently cloaked/burrowed units owned by any player that was preplaced before the last player 161 unit.

I am not 100% sure about this, but previous tests show that it should work.

Could you replace the zealot for a arbiter? In other words, using this method, could you cloak a arbiter for player 1?

No, you don't understand. Only player 161 can cloak arbiters, because arbiters can not be cloaked by another arbiter. The ARBITER cloaks the zealot, and because of player 161, the Zealot will remain cloaked when moved out from under the arbiter.

So your saying that it is possible to cloak/decloak more than one unit using P161?

And just so we're clear is it or is it not possible to cloak an arbiter?

it is possible to cloak an aribiter and if im understanding wat deathknight is saying then it is possible to cloak more than one unit with p161.

That exactly what he said...

But I still don't understand... The arbiter will have the P161 Effect... But what make the zealot still cloaked if the arbiter disapear?

ya im a little bit confused but the only thing i could think of it having the same effect as the burrowed cloaked zergling trick or something like that.

We should have to test it some day...

If it's working for more than 1 unit, Imagine a map with a dozen of uncloaked DT... Just imagine how the "no-map maker" people will be surprised!

Is there a tutorial up on this yet?

Arbiter - Owned by player 1
Zealot - Owned by player 1(under arbiter)
Dark Templar - Owned by player 161

He would get both effects, yes you can cloak more than one unit with player 161, but only max 1 arbiter, 1 building, or uncloaking 1 unit.
