it happens to me too, maps edited in SF get their sound f**ked when they go back to Xtra.
solutions:
1. importing your sounds when you've already finish using SF in your map.
2. making the whole map in SF.
3. re-importing your sound every update... ugh...

choose whatever you want, I suggest you 1 or 2, 3 is just a whast of time...

Yes alwasy finish maps( when possible with StarForge) and by the way, this dosen't belong in here. It belongs to Technical Support.

Hang on, what do you mean by importing the sounds after you've finished using the Starforge side of the project?

More important is that can you access the Sound Manager when using a wav? Like the Action; *.Wav

What I meant was using a 1 second empty sound in every spot where you gonna use a sound and when you finish your map opening it with Xtra, placing all the sounds you need, and replacing the temp sound with the real ones you need.

you don't care the temp to get f**ked since you're not gonna use it later anyway.

I find I have this problem too. You can fix it with WINMPQ if you have SF specific things that another editor will erase, but it's a real hassle.

What do you do in WinMPQ? Do you just manually drag the sound files into the .mpq?

You either rename the files manually, or take em out and put them back in. It's a paineither way, and you gotta re-compress them, but if you can figure it out, then it is very helpful. Make sure you test it though. It really sux if you release a map with sound, bt it never plays.
