How To overlapp X7???
Report, edit, etc...Posted by KaboomHahahein on 2004-12-23 at 21:39:21
There is no room to have 7x overlapping. Unless the characters are little. And it won't look nice. If you are even able to have 7x overlapping. Why did you even ask?

2 usually. Sometimes people use 3, but it's a real pain. You rarely see more than 2 or 3.

This should't be in creative works.

Usually people just sue 2x. Some use 3x as well.

7x is possible, I believe I've seen 8x as well. I, however, have only gotten as far as 6x, which is as much as I'll ever need, probobly more... BTW, once you get the hang of it, 3x isn't a real pain, it's actually quite easy.

It all depends for me. I can do 3x force laps really easy but I can't do it in game as easy. Guess i'll wait untill I get the hang of them in game.

if you space the overlap marks correctly your map name appears off the screen w00t.gif

I did that once by accident, but I was never able to do it again. Where do you put the spaces. I can do it unit names (its funny to see the word between the wings of the arbiter wireframs, biggrin.gif), but I can't do it in forces right. sad.gif

I'm wondering what a 10+x overlap looks like in game. You should be able to do a lot with the display text trigger.

Yeah, but the method for overlapping in display text is almost if not totally different then forces, brief, etc. 10x would take alot of time and effort to get.

I tried..., I can't get past a successful x3 overlap, and I was only able to do that once =\ x10 would be wierd because there aren't that many colors, and some would have to be copied, unless all the bottom ones were the same color so it looked like it was being pulled or blurred. I'f I figure out way to do it, I'll post it, but I doubt it's possible to do unless you have no life and spend hours doing it.

Really, once you get it, 3x is actualy much easier than 2x, though i prefer 2x because it is so pointless to overlap at all! I just overlap the 2x to make the newbs go "ooooooh."
---
Tip: A 2x requires much more invisible space than a 3x.

highest i've seen was Cloak(U)'s map there was like 6x or 5x
the highest i've got up to was x4

I have no idea how I did 3. There must be a different order of the center and front marks for mroe than 2. I'll look it up. eXiLe, can you post the map?, I wanna see all that overlapping (I know i sounded like a newb just then =\ but I'm curious, lol)

I've never seen anything higher than a 3x. Now you got me curious, eXiLe.

For 3x, it's Front mark, Back mark, Front mark, just keep alternating for as far as you want to go, It's pretty much the same for 2x or 3x, if you need any further help, consult my tutorial on Overlapping.
