Okay i protected my map with that proedit it said it had a level of 6 i then tried opening it with x-tra editer to see if it worked and it did, then i tried opening it with Starforge and omg it opend up. Was it a glitch what i need to know bacuse it freaked me out alot.

Do you have the latest version of ProEdit? Maybe you should try again and see if the same thing happens.

If you want to make your own protector then go for it, no one is holding you back.

If ProEdit did that to you then you probably did something wrong. At least to me it has never opened under any editor.
BTW: You sure you opened the protected version instead of the unprotected copy?

Well i did save it thats why i tetse it with x-tra editer it did not open it then starfroge and boom i was like blink.gif ,i would normally make my own protecter but i don't know how thats my only prob.

If you don't save it with a new name it won't save. It's so people always have a backup, so Clokr_ doesn't get a hundred emails asking him to unprotect maps that people didn't properly test before protecting.
