I think minerals are a really good idea for this site. There are cool things you can do like build up your army and steal other peoples minerals .. or buy a zerg pet.. or buy a flashy name.
The only problem is.. it promotes useless posts and spam.. but suprisingly i dont see much of it on this site.
And yeah i think they should add some more items to buy.

As long as you are smart with your minerals they can be pretty fun.
Heed the warning in my signature, I do indeed have a glow effect. It looked good in the preview, lol. i don't really care, but I'm sure others would.

I used to want a shadow but then I used Firefox and you can't see them so I just keep my minerals to show off or occasionaly beat up my zerg pet.

I don't have unlimited, plus I don't even use them (I used to use them for testing stuff, but now its just bragging rights
). Don't take them too seriously, its just a bloody number asossiated with your account. Its not real currency.

Minerals are VERy useful. Because it persuades us to start posting replies in decent forums (serious discussion, map showcase, assistance, etc) rather than just gay ones like Garbage. And with minerals, we can do all sorts of stuff like Army, and some games SEN provides. It's also something good for trading. Like i traded with [aE]Fortune lots of my minerals just for some CD keys

The Black glow effect doesn't make it hard to see. You'd need white, the same color as the text. Can someone send me a pic of my sn with the black showing?, because it doesn't show at all on my computer, lol.
edit: nvm, I figured out that if you highlight the whole box, it shows. should change my sig at some point then
