Ok, I spent a few hours on this map, so I hope it works =\

It does a few things that can be used to teach people how people do certain things.

1. It starts of telling you if you are on B.net or Single Player. The trigegrs are commented so you can understand how the center view is used to tell how things are slowed down.

2. It tells you what game speed you are set to. It does this by counting deathcouns added up over a total of 3000 miliseconds (to figure out the amounts needed, I originally had marines created, and I counted them). I have 3 hyper triggers, so I don't know if more would change the results, but this works (atleast on my computer)

3. It uses the game speed to play a 3 second .wav that repeats. It uses deathcounts again to time the .wav, and uses the game speed data to know when to repeat the .wav. Because it uses deathcounts, it doesn't interfere with waits, which is very helpful in a lot of maps, especially maps with sound (duh...), and bounds.

4. There is this little fighting thingy, using the defiler dark swarm firing trigger. The reason I use dark swarm is because this map was originally made to show health and mana as a little bar in the corner of the minimap. It works reasonably well, using the virtual HP method. I have no idea why the defilers health keeps rotating through 1-4 HP, I was too lazy to fix it. Anyways, it detects your HP and shows a little bar. It tries to control your mana from the fullness of the mana bar, it doesn't work too well, but well enough =\

Anyways, I started adding stuff to this when i remembered I once posted about figuring out game speed so music plays flawlessly every time. It doesn't in this, because I cut the sound too much, but it works well enough.

It's an experimental map and all the trigegrs are commented, so it shouldn't be too hard to figure out how the stuff was done, but it's a little messy with a lot of triggers. =\ Just tell me if it works on your computer, so I know I did the timing correctly, andI hope this helps atleast a couple people. I already submitted it to the database and hopefully it shows up there in a week.

Peace out.

edit:

(Just remembered, I put the slanted terrain stuff in this because of the thread Dk started, so I use it as a hlaf submerged part of the asphalt (you can walk on it), to the canoe thingy. Well, it looks like that to me, nothing original in the slanted terrain part though.

edit:

Can someone tell me if it works? I don't know if it'll have different effects on different speed comps, I doubt it, but I want to make sure....
