I don't need help with how to use the triggers in Starforge or what they do, I just need to know the syntax that starforge uses. I tried loading a saved trigger file onto my map so I could figure it out from there, but for whatever reason the Load Trigger... button doesn't do anything. (Not finished?)
Can somebody point me in the right direction plese? Thank you!

try saving a map using sc xtra. Then, open this map using starforge and take a look at it's triggers and notice the " , " between the words/numbers. Also, notice the " ( " and the " ) ".
If you look on the right it has a list of each action and condition, just doubleclick one and it appears on the thing. Then put a ( after and you will see that above the conditions text area it will give you the syntax for that certain action/condition. Fill in all the requirements then end with ) and a ;
He said he already know how to use the starforge troggers.
Starforge is not completly finnished there are still some things that are not done. Loading or saving triggers don't work.
No. He said he knew how to use normal triggers but wants to learn the syntax of starforge triggers.
I Suggest you not to use starforge unless your good with map making and try using SCXE first and try to get pro with it before you want to use Starforge
I consider myself rather good with triggers all around, my problem was thus.
1) I needed the terrain features only available in Starforge
2) Now that I have my terrain all set out, for reasons unknown to me whenever I attempt to open the map in StarEdit or StarXtra, the program crashes. StarForge is the only program I can open it with.
Otherwise I would've, as suggested, simply loaded up the map in another editor, plugged it full of triggers and gone back to StarForge to figure out the syntax. I thought that perhaps I could cut through the hassle of figuring out why the map is unloadable in the other editors and just learn the Star Forge way of doing things as once I got that down, it will no doubt be alot faster.
...I just realized I've been looking at this problem backwards. Instead of trying to open the map I'm working on in StarEdit to fill it with some triggers and figure them out in StarForge, I should just save some new random map plugged full of trigs in StarEdit and open that one in StarForge.
*Smacks himself on the head* I've also just realized that this is exactly what SA_Max71 suggested. When I read his post, I guess I was thinking ahead of what I was reading and read it wrong. Silly me...
Regardless of all that though, devilesk pointed out exactly what I needed. That black text on the grey bar above the conditions box? Perfect. Anyway, thanks for all your help guys! I'll be able to get it all figured out from here.
*Sighs* Too bad I'm going back to work out of town tommorow, won't be back for 24 days and won't be able to make the map contest deadline. >.< Oh well...
