I really don't get the idea of moving locations. I get the idea if there is only one unit as in an RPG, where location 'P1' might be centered onto a marine or something.
but what if there are two marines at the opposite end of the map?

so say

condition
-always
action
-center location labeled 'Marine' on all Terran Marines owned by player 1 at anywhere

Marine

XXXXXXXXX
XLocation 1X
XXXXXXXXX

Marine

what if the location was like 1 by 1? What would it do? helpsmilie.gif

It will move on the most botton left one, by pixels and not by game grid, I actually spent a day of teasting it for something a month ago...

also, no matter what's the locations's size or shap, it'll always move on only one unit and on the center of it.

If the location was 1x1 it would still center on the unit.

If you have more than one of that unit for the same player in the map use this:

Pre-Placing: You could place a burrowed ling under the rine and then center on the ling. When you've centered ont he ling center on the rine in that same location.(Assuming the Marine hasn't moved in the first second of the game)

The Advanced in-game way: You center location on the firt marine and give him to another player. Then you center on the next marine and keep going until you find the one that you want. Then when you've reached the one that you want(you need to know the exact order in which the marines will be selected by the location), you just give back all the other and let the location stay with that marine.

Grid System: You can use a grid on the whole map using 2 locations one vertical and one horizontal the whole lenght of the map. The using other units/buildings as reference points you can choose which marine by moving the 2 grid locations and then you center the location to be centered.

I'm actually not having problems but, I was just wondering which unit it would center on if there were more than two of it..

It will center on the left most unit. If there is a Tie then the lower unit is selected.

Ago Trooper Kinda said this.
