What do you think about the Green House Effect, Researchers these days say that the Earth is getting hotter and hotter, Researchers think that the Green House Effect is being cause by the pollution we created with the factories, cars, and etc.

Some say it's getting hotter and then don't others say it's getting colder?
Anyways, in Wiscosnin it gets pretty bitter cold up here, I wouldn't mind it warming up. The last two days I didn't even need a winter jacket, now that's some bazaar weather for me.

Scientists have no proof to back up their 'Global warming theory'... we all know that the world goes through hot and cold spells... and a volcano in one eruption gives off as much as cars + such in a year.

Its getting colder in Texas.....and wetter.
We had i think about a month of straight rain during the summer and this is Texas!! It was the second or first rainiest year since they began recording

Actually, no. The average temperature for each year has been increasing but not at a constant rate.

I live in Utah, it's used to be very cold here in the Winter, but, now it's kind of like Summer here when it's winter. And I hate the summer, I mostly like the Winter, For some reason, I love the cold, When I go to bed, I make sure that I have my window open, But, My folks keep complmenting saying it's getting too cold in the house, And now adays, It's more hotter now, And when I open my window, I don't get that same cold air I use to get.

It's not all our fault. The large wildfires in 2002 released over 50,000 tons of green house gasses into the atmosphere. But if humans hadn't been putting out the naturl fires that help reduce waste on forrest floors, the fires wouldn't have been as bad. Wow, I guess humans are to blame for every problem on earth.

Maybe not every problem, but every major, and serious one.

Well, global warming actually has the potential to plunge Northern Europe into another ice age, as it may stop the Gulf Stream (North Atlantic Drift) from bringing warm water up to places such as the UK during winter.

This would be caused by the melting of ice at the poles.

Your getting snow in the 90's, past 4 years not much snow anymore.

Global warming doesnt occur over 4 years..

Besides, countries are starting to work out their plans in 2007 or 2008, not sure which, but that should help.

Global warming is also a theory. Schools just teach everything like its not. Like in medical school. Some of the stuff taught 20 years ago are completely wrong today.

There's really not that much we can do about global warming, but we can HELP fix greenhouse gasses. If we build a huge vacum that'll filter all the air, and take out the gasses, we'll be good. Oh, wait, that's one of the stupidest ideas that's every come outta me. We should just stop burning fossil fuels, and let nature work the way it's supposed to.

I agreeed to that, Cause I was watching the History Channel, and it said that is the cause of Global warning. The Polution that we are creating with our heavy/Medium Industries.

Because of all the killing of tree's and the ozone layer growing thiner and thiner our up-coming ancestors will be screwed. Within 100 years the earth will turn into a dry desert and no life will be found. The UV rays thanks to the thining of the ozone layer from polution is causing skin canser everywhere. In our lifetime we will be fine, but it's the people of the future that are censored.gif ed.

Incorrect.

There are TWO types of ozone.

Trees help lower ozone and pollutant levels in cities.

The other is the one you are talking about, that blocks out UV rays. Trees have very little impact on this, but they helped create it millions of years ago.

I wrote a 8 page essay on this topiv last year.

I don't think it's anything to worry about personally. It's natural for green house gasses to be released and nature has ways to cope with it.

Nature will cope with it but the problem is how? Maybe it will mean another Ice Age or something. Planting a ton of trees would help reduce carbon dioxide. I read this article where theres a website that you can send like 40 dollars and they will plant 400 trees for you, which is it says is enough to offset the CO2 levels of one airplane ride coast to coast. Theres another site which says for 504 dollars worth of trees you can offset the level of co2 you release in your lifetime

I friggin' hate Utah.
This Christmas was horrible, there was hardly any snow.
It seems to me like it's getting hotter.
Before during winter, I actualy saw a decent amount of snow. Last few years, I've hardly seen jackcrap as snow goes.
I miss the cold weather...
I miss when my mom didn't have me wear a jacket or coat whenever I go outside... to friggin' hot.
