Hey all, I'm back from Vegas. And no, I don't feel like posting a long thing about what happened, so I'll do it anyways.
So on Sunday, I goto the airport, at 11 and go through US custioms and all that stuff, and eventually, I get on the plane and on my way to Vegas. Nothing much, the food sucked (chicken tortillas with a bunch of stuff at the side, the only good thing was the crackers) and watched a silent movie because we didn't want to pay to rent headphones (how cheap could they get?) Anyways, not much missed since I slept through most of the trip. Anyways, we got to our hotel (the Venetian), went down and had dinner at a restaurant in the hotel ("P.S. Italian Grill" I think it was called). It was good, and that was the end of the day.
Next day, we got up, walked down stairs to the shops, went to Treasure Island for a buffet, shopped and walked for a while, and had a horrible dinner at this place at the hotel, which costed $200 (most expensive dinner of the trip and the worst that we paid)
Tuesday, we went on a trip to Red Rock Mountain, had a terrible lunch at Mt. Charleston. The hamburgers were half cooked, and there was barely anything to eat). Anyways, we went back to the hotel, had dinner at the cafe at the Mirage since the buffet had a hour wait and I stuffed myself full with the best crab cakes I've ever eaten (I'd even say it was worth the $12...almost) along with ribs and a huge cake.
Wednesday, we went out for a walk down the strip after a buffet at the Mirage (we eventually waited for an hour, and stayed there for two hours). After some walking, we headed for dinner at the Aladdin buffet, and eventually arrived at the Coca Cola building, only to find it closed so we went to the M&Ms place next door instead. Walked all the way back, stopping to watch the water show at the Bellagio, arrived at our hotel and packed our stuff.
Thursday, we ate at the Treasure Island buffet, and fouynd out everything was left overs, and because of the champange they were serving, we had to pay double. Terrible breakfast, and we went back to the hotel at 9:00, and called for a bell boy to pick our stuff. The guy took nearly half an hour to get up and we have to catch the shuttle at 9:30. Took another half an hour to get our bags down, and luckily, we weren't the only ones waiting for our bags so we did catch the shuttle bus at the end. At the airport, we stood in line for an hour Luckily, we were there EARLY, because when we left the line, it was even longer than the line when we arrived. Anyways, we went pass Customs, and sat at the gate for another hour, and went on the plane back to Canada.
Interesting thing was that the plane was not the plane that we was supposed to pick us up back to Canada, since we knew ahead of time what our plane was. This plane seated a few more passengers, and had a 3-3-3 seating arrangement, while the one that was supposed to pick us up had a 2-4-2 seating arrangement. Oh well.
Anyways, I'm back, and...uh...meh.
I'm kinda a bit young to be playing Casino games, and yes, I didn't really like the trip. The plus is that I got a lot of rest and sleep. The food was terrible. Yhe stuff here in the GTA is a lot better, though it's probably because we know where the good restaurants are located.
Pfft, there was a whole load of people gone. The forums were sooooooooo empty. I think it was like... 10 posts a day.
Oh well, the Staredit Network family is back. Comeon everyone, group hug
*comes together*
