i am seriously going to kill myself.
someone help me or i am going to ing kill myself!
ok, so today i got this internet hosting at 1and1.com i got the busisness package. so i need to split it up into 3 diffrent sites one with 250 mb space, 250 mb, and last one with 1,500 mb space. then, they make it so ING inpossibele to ing upload a single ing file, that i read 3 of thier manuls and im still in the exeact same spot. they gave me 3 domains, i made one of those three, and the other two are going to be for the two other small sites. (those three sites are cut up from the origional 2 gig space hosting.) someone help me to upload my website or i will KILL MYSELF!!!!!!!
(whoever helps me probably needs to be signed up with them too because i dbout its diffrent to all others because i sware thier on some big ass crack and drugs)

Uhh, I'm not signed up (And I wont, I have no money :/ ) but are you trying to upload files through a CPanel? If you are, try using an FTP client. Filezilla is a good free one. If that doesn't work, you could probably make an upload script with PHP if your host supports it. I'll look at the site in a little bit and see if I can find anything else.

EDIT: I'm trying the 6 month trial deal, so ........ yeah, it'll be easier to find a solution.

Aight, Shmeeps's guide to setting up your FTP for 1and1

1) Get an FTP client, such as CuteFTP, FileZilla, SmartFTP, WS_FTP Pro, anything.
2) Make a new connection, some will differ but you should get a things that will say domain, host adress (Or something similar) Login, Password, ect.
3) In the host adress, or domain box, put in your address, like www.staredit.net. Yours should be something like " s116586269.onlinehome.us ". That's mine. You can find it from the admin CP, right after you login, before you choose the package you want to admin (Ref: 1and1)
4) In the login name, put in the name you use to log into it. It should be your customer name, like mine is 8161180. It came in the confirmation E-Mail.
5) Password is your pass.
6) Hit connect.
7) Locate the file you want to upload on your hard drive, and hold-click it and drag it into the window that has your site's files in it.

I didn't say it was. I just said get one. Its a free 30-day anyways. WS_FTP is 21 days free i believe.

ahhh thanks a lot shmeeps. sorry i havent responded. i've been a little busy trying to download something on dialup. then i had internet troubles. i havent done what you said yet, and i cant untill next weekend. but anyway. thanks a lot. see i tryed using the ftp thing but it dident tell me what port to use, what password and username to use or w/e.
because in the full version you can set up--- other things in there...like pw protected folders or w/e. i forgot. but anyway they have like a password and username for it and its confusing... basically what i was looking for was an upload page like in freewebs... all you had to do was click the upload file buttion, browse for it on you comp, hit upload, and wala. simple, easy, fast. and the main page for your account was like viewing a folder in the "list" view on windows, you can even put folders inside that one. all you had to do was click on it and you can get into that one, then see the files in there. you could rename, delete, etc.

I could probably make a page like that in PHP if you want.

EDIT: Also, if you go to the administration page for a site, click on Web Space/Access, then FTP, you can create and edit FTP accounts and passwords. That's where you find it. Also, here's a screen shot of the values, the host name will change though.
