Staredit Network -> Games -> Replays... and patches...

Ive just noticed... like 25% of the time my replay is always bugged... I tried saving a couple replays yesterday but they were bugged and never did what they were suppose to do... example; we really won but in the replay it shows the comp kicking our asses!

I'm just saying Blizzard should get back to Starcraft on the PC... maybe in... let's say 5-10 years they just MIGHT come out with patch 1.11! Wow and they have... how much people playing Starcraft? 55 000 is the magic number? 1/4 of B.net... so maybe if they got a patch that would actually 'do something' they would maybe draw more people back on Starcraft... don't you think? I've talked to a lot of people lately;

I saved a replay from Squad Support and went to see it....It showed all comps coming on the first weak rush pwning everyone...And I won when I really did it

Don't bother with replays. They completely suck. It's as though they record what the players did at the beginning, have the computer AI literally REPLAY itself, and it's showing you a abattle between a bunch of comps, the "player" ones trying to stay atleast somewhat similar to what their human did.
What it looks like to me.

>:P very funny.

Welp, you'll be happy to know that I agree with all of those things basically. However, there are no complaints about UMS, because it kicks ass. Which is why we exist biggrin.gif

Like once, I was playing Sunken Defense... and out of the BLUE my Sunkens got attacked. IN THE REPLAY. For no reason.
Ok, maybe that didn't happen, but for some reason it recorded me LOSING. Even though I WON.

I heard UMS maps reps shows bad if you speed them up. Try to watch it at the normal speed.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Staredit.Net Essence on 2004-01-09 at 09:45:22
UMS replays are working 10% of the time, if you speed too much, the "replay.exe" will be overwhelmed with triggers and it will all be fcked up. All actions will be stopped, and the computer player will handle it from there; like it would have done normally... So you probably end up losing...

grr why can't i edit my post? oh well *deleted last*

Let me try this out... I'm going to watch a replay on 'slowest' and get back to you guys

What was suppose to be the 'edit': Well putting the rep on 'slowest' doesn't change how it works or anything... this may sound stupid a little but I think it's how much people were in the game before and how much people are watching the replay because when I watched the replay with a friend it was totally different...

Maybe it is what I said it looks like...
"It's as though they record what the players did at the beginning, have the computer AI literally REPLAY itself, and it's showing you a abattle between a bunch of comps, the "player" ones trying to stay atleast somewhat similar to what their human did.

I mean then, there'd be some randomness.
As for using fast-forward... didn't do that.

Ok this is how a replay is taken: Starcraft "Records" every action a player makes and has a computer do the actions as if it was the player. Maybe a little confusing but; The computer is trying to mimic the player(s) in the game(and fails).

nah I think... they will NEVER come out with it... I might be playing WoW... :/ the game looks fun... EDIT: I'll probably be starting on a WoW Glitches guide since there'll probably be TONS of glitches in it... (when the full version comes out of course)

Can anyone tell me what World of Warcraft is?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Deathknight on 2004-01-09 at 22:27:14
http://www.blizzard.com/wow/

If you can read than you should know what it is tongue.gif.

ok basically it's like a FPS... you run around in the warcraft world, kill monsters(ex: Yoshi, Moose, Shadow)(or other players(ex: me))
you gain exp and stuff, find gold/items or whatever, get levelups, skills, quests, etc. It's kind of like a Diablo3.
