aE is again asking for a forum... or at least one person in particular.

My own personal thoughts is: Why not? Especially if uUu has one

uUu and aE would both be moved to a new catagory "Hosted Clans" on the bottom of the list... so it won't spam up the map making catagory... I don't even know why uUu is in the map making catagory anyways...

This will definetly bring more people to SEN thus making it bigger since we will kinda be "hosting" some clans' Forums here. And that means more maps with the website posted on it and more peoplw will see it and come here.
The drawbacks are:
Oo..oO will want one
Then the Mapmaking Team will want one
Then Scv_ will want one
Then Mp)
Then DT_
Then almost every mapamking clan out there
so on... so on...
It would be better to have the clans prove themselves or give them a test or some sort of screening process, we just can't give out forums to everyone.

uUu is who I was refering too, sorry if I didn't make myself clear. Clan uUu has their own webpage yet they have forums here. That never really did make sense to me.

Make them pass a "test" sending some good map so you have an excuse to not to add forums to the crappy clans

I don't really have an opinion on this. I just want to see some maps from aE. And I don't want to think we're the forum hosting

Uhh as a Proud member (or at least was). it is Clan (U) not Clan uUu (thats just the channel name). Clan (U)UnKnOwN is also accepted but I'm capital sensitive lol.
Anyways I think the only reason yoshi decided to host it is because Yoshi worships the ground I walk on. (actually i don't know why, but i know he admired the clan) Swap(U) set up the deal with him.
Personaly i don't care what clans you host but i would suggest that you require that clans be a certain age before allowing them to have a forum. Like at least 6 months old, this is just kinda insurance that the clan just isn't going to die the week after you add them.
Also if you add another clan, more clans or whatever and give the leaders modderator power over the forum then it allows have a possition of power elsewhere on the forum, although not directly. For an example, if Salacious got mad at something that a member did in the Mapping Assistance forum then he could search for one of there post in his section then warn that member even though he shouldn't be allowed to do so. (or at least as far as I understand it). Basicly I'm saying that the clan leaders shouldn't have the power to warn, fine, or change the profile of members. They should only be allowed to do basic thread editing / modderating within there own forum.

Clan forums won't be moderated by the clan itself, I reckon.
Sala ed that up by editing Xeno's posts and sh.it such as. Perhaps I can make some type of a moderator that can only close topics and delete posts in their own forum and perhaps have the ability to ban individuals from their individual forum.

I would suggest having a very simple requirements for a clan to be accepted.
Something Like
-Must have been in existance for at least 6 months.
-Must have at least 5 members active on Staredit.net
-Must have at least 15 members in the clan.
-Must specialize in Mapmaking.
Lastly I would suggest you remove Clan (U) from the affilates if you accept AE and or other mapmaking clans. Because every clan would expect an affilate and unless you can justify why (U) has an affilate and they don't (doubtfull) then you should give every hosted clan an affilate as well.

I don't really like rules because they are objective anyways, so why not make the entire acceptance objective on a 1 to 1 basis.

The reason I said they need to be a clan for at least 6 months is because otherwise you could end up with everyone and there mother creating a and requesting a forum section. Then the clan will end up dieing later that week. Most mapmaking clans don't last longer than a month.

Personaly i don't think there skill level matters. I think we should create a clan section like Isolated said and let pretty much any mapmaking clan have there own section if there leader request it. The only deciding factors would be how long there clan has been established and weathor or not they have at least X members. (those are the big ones in my opinion.)

I saw it, I believe you signed off before I got online... or maybe signed off before I bothered to check to see if anyone im'ed me...
but yeah, I helped solidfy my desire to let them have a forum... by giving them a place where they could talk and stuff outside of there clan channel, it'll strength their guild...
and if they are coming here more often, their skills could easily improve with sen's many resources

every (U) map I ever played was quality. Swap orginally went with getting boards hosted by SEN so clan members can colabarate with non-clan members as well. Some of the (U) members were coming here anyway, so instead of designing another forum (which means the (U) members would stop coming here or double forum visiting), he figured their forums wouldn't be as different as SEN anyway. We converged.If you guys want your own forums, go ahead. It doesn't matter to me, you guys are affiliates anyway
