OK on SCXE 2.5 i always try to overlap text. I do it like so: Fronttextbacktextspaces but it always either undershoots it overshoots it or is in the middle of the place. HELP!! It would be nice to be able to overlap my title: Tech Bound. I cant because it says i cant have enough spaces. But i saw another bound: Verigo Bound. that titles bigger. Why c

ant i overlap? HELP!!!

U dont know how to overlap?
If ur text is to long just open worpad or other program and make a [color=red]"tab"[\color]
press alt+tab if u r a newbie

then just paste the tab in sxeditor and thats it
for me it works , is very simple
[Overlap Back]Text[Overlap Front]Text[Tabs][2 Spaces]
Depending on how many letters there are in the "Text", the tabs may vary from 0-6. Always 2 spaces in unit names, always. The only occasion where there wouldn't be anything after the name is if it you added a REALLY long text input.
Thank you so much. Both of you.
EDIT:I just tryed the tab....Tab doesnt do anything. I am a newb at making maps. Just starting in a way.

what keys do i hit for the tab and such? I can get the overlaps....sorry for being so noobish...
To make a tab in StarEdit, simple press CTRL+Tab.

OK... One problem. If i do Cntrl+Tab it changes from the "Tech" team so "Player 1" is highlighted... Tab or Cntrl+Tab
Ima newb at overlapping yes. Sorry!

Edit: WAIT!! I think i got it!!
EDIT: Nope...looks like i dont. I get it. Just i cant get the right amount :-P
EDIT:OK.... What is the max amount of spaces? Just to narrow it down :-P
In scxe its like 12? I cant remeber off the top of my head. SF is unlimited. Anyways, all map titles must be custom stacked, you cant say switch out letters, and or colors once you stack it.
OK... lol...im so sorry for being a hastle...ill figure it out if this is too much. but....it seems to not be working verry well at all... maybe i should give up??
Put an invisible mark at the end, then a priod or a dash. That will stop it from under or over shooting.

Umm...it is still undershooting. I did the [invisible]. at the end too... The overlap is perfect too.
Oh sorry, I misunderstood you. What I posted was to make the actual overlap not under or over shoot.
You can put a tab after the back mark, so that it will be more centered, if that's what you mean. Then change the front mark tabs and spaces slightly. That's my guess anyways, I never quite figured out how people perfectly center overlapped text
ok... Do you mean like: [--------Overlapped Text--------]
Thats what i had before... i am trying to get [Overlapped Text------------]
But it is Overlap[ped Text--------------]
- is the same as space.
Why even bother? It's a dumb effect and is so hard to make it's more stressful then helpful.
Have you released a map that doesn't have any overlaps? Even if it is any good, people will start to complain "WHERE ARE DEM OVERLAPPS!?"
Oh yeah, I notice that all the time. I was wondering about that.
It also happened in Zone Control. "WHERE IS THE MASS ATTACKER! I'M TOO LAZY TO DO IT MYSELF!"
