I have yet to add sprites and doodads.
No Triggers are done Yet. Neat. It's looking pretty good, even though you haven't added many sprites yet.
It sounds like you have a lot of work to do on it, how long do you think it will be before it's released, or you make a demo or trailer or something?
I don't know... It could be awhile but if I work hard (and don't give up on it) It could have a demo done in a month or so... i know it seems like awhile but I really want to make my First rpg a good one!

Any unique things that will make this RPG different than others?
First of all... The storyline is unique with the crystals and such... i've never seen an RPG like this one...
I will have a gateway spell system in real time combat which will make it fast gameplay and diffacult to cast your spell at the right time. It will have a very big area that uses forests, Mountains, Rivers, Caves.
You will be sent around the map to do varrious things before actualy finding the 2 crystals in this first map...
Map1: 2 crystals
Map2: 2 crystals
Map3: 1 crystal
I'm trying to get the terrain done so I could sign up for Map Team ( just found out about it today ) and hopefuly they would let me in...
Are you planning on having lots of people talk to you?, or have people busy with their work, or....
I'm also wondering what kind of music your planning to put in this, if any. It soudns like amny kinds of sounds could be incorporated into this.

Honestly I doubt you will even come close to finishing this. I just looked at your topics and you have like 20 "Official Production Threads" with none that I looked at actually completed. Don't inform us about maps that have no chance of being completed.
What ive decided to do is when I work on a map for at least 1 month then I post here at SEN... So... I've been working on thsi for a month and so im posting it...
I'm pretty sure the Map teams terrain spots are all taken. They only need trigger people.

I have decided to have the enemy system in a way like the Quest Open RPG type. There will be a recal AI script and enemies will spawn. The Enemies will spawn every minute and should they wander to far away from where they are supposed to be they will be brought back.

Ideas:
Do you think a Turn Baced Battle System would be better because I could have alot cooler special affects but it would play a little slower...
How long would you guys like the map because right now I could probably put all the crystals into one map because 1/4 of the map is taking and there r 2 crystals... This map will use alot of backtracking back and forth between towns in order to do quests... There will be a number of things to do before you get the crystals...
Some Crystals will be defended by bosses or swarmes of enemies while others will be somewhere that you will have to look for or doing a quest fr an old man and he gives you the crystal in return.
I need some feed Back!!!
I like turn based cuz that way, u can't get mass outnumbered!
Guys I need more feedback otherwise I don't know what battle system to use... I can't start the game engine until I knwo what you people want in this map... I'm still working on the terrain

Not quite... basicaly You are the protector of the crystals and one day you decide to leave the temple and see what the world outside is like... When you return all the crystals are gona and have been scatered accross the continent... When I said an onld man would have on and if you helped him he would give you it Basicaly. Oldman Walking along, sees a shiny crystal, picks it up and brings it home. You will have to find them in the game and you never know who might have them...
Clarification: A DarkForce [Cant Say Who Yet, Will Reveal To Much] Stole the crystals and seperated them aroudn the land.

I don't think there's anything wrong with RTC. I'm using the same system as you for fighting, the unit build spell syste

m and Level up hp system. I think What's more important is map progression.
One More thing is everyone now adays wantsa to do a rtc map, so why not do one great RTC Map and Show em RTC still owns(ex:Aesgeroth rpg, Padorath Returns)
Make sure you incorperate into the story the importance of the crystals (if any).
Why would a guy take a crystals? They must mean something. But, if the crystals actually did anything, is there a reason the DarkForce scattered them about the map? Why didn't he just keep them for himself?
Man, I kinda quit on my map cuz I got no support on my idea of my battle engine and it was kinda boring with all these criticism. Should I change my avatar?
