Excelent job, they have really shaped up sice last time one of these polls were around. But that was mostly beacause of DTBK i guess. IMHO Moose, Bolt, Iso and other never stop doing a good job.. Beer is also a good addition to the team

Clokr_ is working on a project that will benifit everyone in the map making community. I would hardly consider it nothing at all.

They were asking how the mods were doing, and I'm saying although Clokr vists and posts he doesn't do any moderating.

If you think there's some improving to be done between us godly staff people, making polls like this won't make anything better (especially if you aren't adding constructive critism about why you anwsered the way you did).

"Oh yeah, I think the mods are doing a so-so job..." but if you fail to explain why, your opinion doesn't mean crap to me/(us?).

The mods are doing decent jobs, I think. At least most of the time.

I have noticed that some topics get wildly out of hand for too long before they get locked, though.

Clokr_ told me that School>SEN and thats why he isn't on as much as other people would want to and I suggest more of us think that way.

I know why he's doing this topic. I warned him the other day because he opened a topic that I closed because it was about a Map Unprotector he found. I clearly stated that SEN doesn't support any kind of hacks. He later sent me a reply PM to my warn stating this:



I really don't care if people hat the mods/staff/admin, basicly we are doing you guys a favor by taking time here that could be used in something better by working for free we don't get anything else besides a different colored name.

Well if you did'nt do all the bad things you did to get warned, You would have not been warned. But saying that dont help your case.

I have no tolerance for people who can't ask for an exclamation in a mature manor. I doubt i would of refunded Chill anything just because of the way he responded.

DOWNLOADS DATABASE:
It's all cool and yea but some features like the Search Files link need to be completed and worked on. Only thing that works is the Author Search and it's been like that for... forever. Someone needs to get to work on that thing and make it so you can search files through Names or Descriptions. Also the search thing needs another feature where you can search for the files a person submitted. When looking at the pages with all the downloadable files, make sure the next pages work. Because even when i display 100 files at a time, some of them will be on the next page. When i click on the next page, it will display the files, but not the way i had it sorted originally. If I originally organized the files so that it displays files by author name, it resets everything when i click on page two. Gets pretty annoying. And better yet, maybe make them display 150 or 200 files?

TUTORIALS DATABASE:
Also cool and very useful. Search feature could be much much better. Someone should make it so when you actually do a search, you can do all the wierd funky stuff like you could when doing searches in forums. And when the search results are displayed, they should also include a thing saying which categories they were from. Also on the search thing, it shouldn't just be "title or text." There should be another option where you can search in both. Another thing should be used where you can search a particular category only. And to make things look cooler, another feature where it can search for tutorials with certain skill levels.
I dont think the FAQ is really that necesary. At least i dont but maybe you guys do. Reason i dont think so is because we have the Search engine. It's much better than preasked questions with links.
Also on the View All link, there should also be ways to categorize each page.

MAP REVIEWS:
I dont think the Search link is neccesary at all. I mean what would you search for in these map reviews? And the Request a map thing needs to be changed a bit. It shouldn't be where people can only request one map to be reviewed. What if you want more to be reviewed? Only way to do that is to PM the map reviewers but that's a pain to some people and sort of defeats the purpose of the request link.
There needs to be another score thing for Neatness of maps. That's a huge factor in what a map is like.

SEARCH FORUMS:
Very useful these things are. If possible, there should be a thing where you can search for phrases AND other words along with that. For example if you do a search like:

"Star Edit"

It works fine, but if you do something like

+"Star Edit" +Network

It doesn't. Maybe i didn't do it right but yea i couldn't find a way to do a search like that.

MEMBERS:
I thought that you coulda made it so it displays more than 50 per page. Maybe like 100. Another search thing should be made so you can search for info that's inside people's profiles. That would be cool.

CALENDAR:
I just thought some important dates like the Winter Map Making Contest could be put on there.

MEMBER MAP:
Btw, this is a small issue but the DLDB Keepers (which would be High as of this moment) cannot be located on the member map since he's not a member, regular, or a globalmoderator/staff. It probably mattered when me, beer, xeno, death, salacious, and nozomu were map team/database keepers. Also when viewing lets say the USA map, there should be a list of members that have their mark in the united states somewhere on the page. Otherwise, what's the real use?

I could make the Winter Map Making Contest anually but finding prizes isn't easy at all. But if I do find some I'll make the second edition.
