I've spent around one hour doing all the terrains in StarForge, I think it was pretty good. Now then, after i finished with my terrains (Not exactly done yet, more to add), I saved it, get on X-tra Editor, tried to open it. A error pop out, saying something X-tra editor has encounter a problem or something, I couldn't remember it all. The x-tra editor then closed immediately after the message pop out. I can only do triggers on X-tra editor because its easier. In Starforge, making a trigger looks complicated, you have to type in the stuff on your own. Please help! Would appreciated it.

Maybe you saved your map wrong, or some corruption thing along those lines.

Since you just started and just did your terrain create a new blank map (in StarEdit). Then open it in Starforge. Open the map with the terrain you already did and make a custom brush of the whole thing. Then make your new blank map current and paste the brush over the new map.

Vola, you just copied your terrain to a new map.

If that doesn't work you could always post the map and let us try to figure out why it wont work.

you saved to the default: least i think its the default: Starforge authorised, maybe even the SF built in lock.

I had this problem with Starforge 2.2, But, it was a little diffent though, instead of not loading the map, it didn't load up the sounds, when you click on the sounds mansger. You should of have a back up file, For me. I learn that a few days ago.

I wouldn't suggest using Starforge for sounds, it usually messes them up, I did find a way of dealing with them but it wasn't bug proof or easy to handle.

A dead marine: Did you save another spare copy of the map?

Since errors and crashes may appear at any time I suggest you save it twice. once to the map your working on and another as a spare copy.

You might've placed soemthing illegal in SCXE, but I don't believe that might've been the issue since SCXE doesn't let you place illegals. Did you switch editors or try to open the map with Starcraft while it was open in SCXE?

if you could still go on starforge and open it try saving the map again or downloading that one program SCM importor exporter. i think it does unit and terrain.

The problem has been fixed. It was that black tile that made the staredit crashes. Thanks to Bolt and Chu for telling me, now its working in X-tra editor. Thanks everybody though.
