Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> Player 9-12 (humans?)

In StarForge it allows 9-12 players but I can't do anything to them. Also I can't make them for humans use. How can I change all this if I can? Also they arent shown in the forces.

So tell me all there is to know about those players.

Players 1-12 are the main players. They were always there. Player 12 is always the player that owns critters and minerals in melee games. Players 9-12 can not be controlled by humans, but can be affected with triggers.

I think all spells made in melee games are owned by p12

More specifically:

Players 9-11 - always neutral owner (does not show up in multiplayer game loading screen) and hostile (enemy to all except it self). Alliance triggers can't change this.

Player 12 - Always neutral owner and neutral alliance status (will not respond at all to anything). Aliiance triggers can't change this.

It's unallied with itself too.

Sorry if this is off topic, but does that mean that a carrier's interceptors will shoot at themselves? that would be pretty cool to use as an effect. You would of course have to find a way to get them out of the carrier initially though.

Yes. And units like Goliath shoot at their bottom half too. tongue.gif

That is freaky. But that CAN be changed, because my game had 9-11 as statues, and they didnt do anything to the players or themselves. You just have to place a start location for them and they will be like a computer player in UMS and they can execute triggers. Same for all players (1-255)

Odd. I tried a map with P9 as a neutral selector unit (didn't work, they attacked players) but they didn't seem to attack eachother. maybe they weren't close enough.

Perhaps the players had higher priority units? Then it got it's attack command and didn't give up? I dunno, just a random guess.

I think I could experiment with P9 for fun. I wonder what happens if you place a sieged tank for plaayer9, maybe it would always unsiege itself, an easier way to unsiege things, give it to player 9 so it can attack itself, biggrin.gif
