Ok, first off...I am on a mac running OSX. (ok...bash all you want, I get it all the time). So...I think all I can run is just the regular staredit?!? Anyone know?

Actually...anyone know of anyone on a mac that is crazy enough to be still making maps for starcraft?

Ok, my mac is big enough to run Virtual PC if I absolutely have too...(already had to, to get the sound files off of my SC and Broodwar CDs). But..I would rather run natively in OSX.

I would like to throw together a single player campaign. (yes bash away again if you want, I get sick of cheaters online tongue.gif )

I have my first map of the campaign pretty much complete with story and the whole works (briefing, in game transmissions, ect.) (pretty good for a guy on a mac who started a day and a half ago? well...maybe not I don't know)

However, I am having troubles on trying to come up with voices for the transmissions. Of course I could try and use mine, and edit with sometype of voice software (beleive me I looked for hours today) but I can't seem to find any good ones that can change your voice, other than the pitch that is.

I would like to use old chararcters such as Kerrigan ect but have know way of making them talk.

One last thing....I test played my map today, and even with an AI for [Expansion] Terran Campaign Difficult, my computer enemies seemed very weak and didn't build hardly at all. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for any help you guys can provide!

For voices, dont bother. It would only make the map too big. No one cares that much about voices.

And for the AI, try switching it to insane and giving them more places to mine from. You might also want to try adding some spawn/attack locations when players bring units to certain areas.

Copying an orginal character sound is next to immpossible. You could always use the ones that are there, or you can try combining words.

Thanks for the help guys. I will try the insane setting on a test run and see if that helps. It would be hard for me to place more mining areas in this map because there isn't a whole lot of room left.

As for sounds, I think it would be rather boring not to have sounds and character voices if I was to continue with my original plans of building a complete campaign. <_< In my opinion, it seems to add to the completeness of the campaign. If I were working on a multiplayer map to play with others on bnet I think I would say screw the sounds except maybe some simple .wav files and maybe background music.

Any one know how to get the objectives to show up during the game? I hit the objectives and it comes up blank. Thanks again for your help!
