ranting.gif HEy, it's me again, on the same @#!* map ( censored.gif ) , now i did almost all the trigger and i refound the broodwar cd (i 'd lost it) and i try my map and the game crash....

it's a map 80/80 made entirely with starforge, their's stacked building in it, a 12 comp and no crashing building(independent cc) or things like this.

COuld it be coz of the size? I've tried without the stacked building and it still don't work...

Do i have to rebuild the entire map on a 96/96 map?

Thx mellow.gif

Dont use odd sizes. Best to stick with the ones known.
The 80x80 will crash the map.

False, it'll only crash if it's the first map you play upon loginto B.Net.
Play any other map first, then play this one, if the crash is due to size, then just do this whenever you need test.
I suggest you make the map bigger so you don't have to do this, then change it back down.

Oh, and make sure nothing's sticking out in the edges or a sprite that crashes...

yea, doesnt it aqlso say that making it irregular map sizes would make it crash? if so, beware whenever u make a map size

Replying to John: like independet comand center or independent starport, those crash it

the latest version of StarForge saved baks every now and then, you could check to see if that crashes as well. It's saved me several times when something screwed up while I was saving and the map got corrupted.

Gh[o]st_, is your problem fixed or do you still need answers? If you must rebuild your map, I recommend you use SCMIE
http://www.staredit.net/index.php?download=363

And...
We have tutorials for everything! (Even that program!)
http://www.staredit.net/index.php?act=tuto...le=SCMIE%20v1.5

Lots of things crash maps, if you still have the problem, then perhaps post your map?
If you need the list of reasons,

Well SCXE will just delete the sprites for you. It deletes all the "invalid" units that SCEX cannot support like stacked buildings sprites, p13+. It should not effect the saving file.

What does it say when you try to save it?

If I my memory serves me, placing a P13+ unit and then opening the map in SCEX can cause some problems.
