First Question: Which of Feanor's sons had to cut off his right hand to free himself from the unbrakable bonds Melkor put him in on a mountainside?

Note: this isnt spam. I honestly want to know how much people know.

This post is at least 3 hours from the other one.

Anybody? Anyone at all? Someone had to have made the LotR maps, and they are very accurate so they must know this.

Even easier question: Who was Haldir?

I'll get back to you if I ever finish the Fellowship. I just found them a little boring, but I really liked the Hobbit.

Answer to #3: Haldir was the guide who found The Fellowship and brought them into Lothlorien.

Back from computer problems vacation closedeyes.gif

The Lay Of Leithian was the longest song in the history of Middle Earth. It was about the adventures of Beren and Luthien, which were also what Tolkien called him and his wife. The song was so long that it spans half of an entire volume of The Histories Of Middle Earth (The Lays Of Middle Earth) which were about 400 pages each. It rhymes very well, and is referenced in The Silmarillion because it told the most history of the times before Melkor was banished from Middle Earth.

Actually Haldir brought the fellowship to Caras Galadhon, the city in Lorien. They were already in Lorien, Lothlorien, Laurelindoran (I believe that's one of the versions), etc.

Was Himring the ship at Fornost or the flying one?

Himring is maedhros' fortress on the right side of beleriand. When WoW happened, all of beleirand sank beneath the waves. and the tip of Himring sticks above the sea and is now called Himling.

(ive read the books so many times that each number of times ive read each book is double digits.)
