Like most people use observer for everything, why not a wraith that is cloaked with unlimited energy? They're speed is much faster, they also cloak.

What i meant is that, people should use cloaked wraith more often then observer, its less blurry when a unit is moving to the wraith. The speed is much faster then observer with upgrade.

Ok, I understand now...

I use wraith when I want or need something fast. But other than that I use observer because it's naturally cloaked. I dont need to worry about mana, or making sure to create it cloaked, or any of that censored.gif .

Not only that but, under the correct conditions, the wraith will uncloak, even with 100% energy.

And that is not fun at all...
And an observer is more steady moving... you'd get seziures from constantly centering view a wraith pinch.gif .

No. When a cloaked wraith has no enemies, or other orders, it will stop and uncloak. No matter how much energy. I experienced this delema in one of my maps. I'm not sure, but I think creating an invis invincy enemy unit nearby might work at keeping them cloaked.

No... thats not true, because computer players gets his wraith under attack, it cloaks... until there no longer energy... also it uncloaks during 0% mana

You have to play one of my old maps and see for yourself then. I have a player with a special attack that creates 3 cloaked wraiths and has them attack the computer players around them. They are created with properties: full energy, invincy, cloak.

What happens is exactly what I said above. They attack enemies normally, but if they don't see a target or aren't being issued any other orders they will just decloak and stop.

It is a limited time attack. They are removed after only a few seconds. So I KNOW they can't possibly be running out of energy. I also know this because I can use the attack normally when there are large amounts of computer units around and they won't decloak at all but continue to attack.

I found it. YOU pre-placed your wraith. I created mine. Here: [attachmentid=4293]

You know, why not create it cloaked for player 12? Player 12 shouldn't uncloak, or does it?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by chuiu on 2005-01-20 at 16:26:53
I need it to attack. But now that I've found it won't uncloak when preplaced, I might just pre-place them and hide them in the map ... which will be hard. The playing field for this map takes up about 99% of it.
