(SIM DRAGON 2)[progress]0.70[/progress]This will be a entirely new map made from scratch. The size will be expanded from 196X196 to a full 256. This will be a Ice-Terrain map that closely follows the story of the orginal. Instead of collecting crystals you will be freeing captured dragons from the humanoids kind of like Spyro for the console. Instead of a few Dragon Stages there will be several more. Here's the listing... (Egg-Infant>Toddler>Wyrmling>Adolescent>Pre-Adult>Full-Adult>Ancient>Legend>Spirit ...

4 posts about stupid BB tags and not one about the actual topic. Grow up guys.

I liked the old sim dragon way back when, and was considering making an Open RPG involving dragons at one point (still have the outline and terrain of it in one of my old folders), then my craving for non-conventional maps took hold again and I throw it out. One of the key features was the ability for male and female dragons to mate, and also to have different elemental alignments, based either on their parentage or where they choose to hang out the most (they gain "experience" with the element they're most exposed to, in other words).

It also had some kind of story about finding a dragon god, but it's all fuzzy now.

I love Open Rpg that mating idea and elemental idea is great.

Sounds like you've got a plan. Although I don't really like Open RPG's, your first map was a pretty big hit. No doubt this one will be too. But I do remember it got kinda boring after a while (probably because I don't like Open RPG's that much). I don't know, perhaps you should explain it more when people start playing it? I seriously didn't get it at all. Maybe that was just me. But w/e, I'm ranting now,

Sounds good, GL wink.gif

Well I meant if the mating, elemental, or open rpg ideas give you any ideas you can use them since I gave up on that map long ago. I'm not simply tagging a comment saying I was thinking of making one of my own awhile ago.

So next time you should only have to say: I got fews Ideas for you instead of "I've already had this idea..." people don't give a sh*t...

Soo... Why dragons are living in a cold place? Do you have a storyline? I want to know more about this map...

Uh huh. Well that's not what I said or implied, for one. Actually I didn't get to finish the post before I got interrupted (glares @ knows-who-he-is), but whatever, you get the point. As for the idea, take it or leave it.

The parents deciding what element the child will be is freakin awesome. You should put this in your map...if Tuxedo says it is ok.

Lets hope it's a lot better than the original. It got boring quick, but when you first play it its very fun and exitful. (Hope I spelled that right) But from your description it sounds like its going to be pretty sweet. Ill try it out once your finished. Send me a PM if at all possible once your finished.

Lets not do ice, ice text is hard to read...

Ice has good terrain options though. If you can't read then turn down/up the contrast/brightness on your monitor.

I don't think he would use hard to read colors in his map. White, blue, grey would be a bit difficult. Red would be lame. Yellow might be ok. Or dark green.

1. WOW Tuxedo your my hero and so is Endaire. It's an honor to be recognized by TUX blushing.gif
2. I originally considered the idea of elemental exposure and growth but now im thinking about the variations of the minerals because the Ice tileset is Lacking in Fire which is a the prime element of dragons. Instead, there will be 2 different types of incubators that the players (with drones) will take there newly created eggs to hatch into either a male or a female. Later in the game, players will evolve into different variants of dragons according to the minerals in there diet when EX: Players achieve Legend they will either evolve into a Gold,Silver,Copper,Brass Dragon. Oh and i dont know who should deserve credit for creating the original Sim Dragon map because its not protected; there are at least 5 versions of it, when i finish this project ill submit the Sim Dragon Maps i have and will give credit to the version's editor.
3.Below im gonna post a Update of my progress, i truly hope all the bb codes will work:give thx to yo mama.
