If your elite after 1500 post why isn't .Coko Elite, the member list says he is still regular.

uhh thats about all i got to say except i remember when being Elite ment you had 255 post, but that was replaced with the bar system.

PS. the stars around his name look stupid. Espcially since there is only one of them, you might think his name actually starts and ends with a astrick. [/my opinion]

Coko has to make a post to be moved to elite.
I don't think the stars look to pretty either... but I can't say much cuz of my –»'s smile.gif

You should just remove the special characters. The color of the name is good enough.

Eh, either works. I'm going to add some more features to elite when I can...

Should we limit some shoutbox colors to certain groups?

Ton's of people use them, it would only create wide-spread upset.

'tis is true. If you guys come up with any neat ideas for elites, please tell me.

Personally, I like the idea of another membergroup for members to work up to.

I don't really see why it was necessary. Also, the rank for post count for Elite is 100. Maybe we can make ranks up to 1500 and disable custom ranks until they reach Elite. (if they complain, maybe just make it for new members?)

Nothing is necessary.... but we do it anyway.

Maybe give them the ability to split posts from their topics or give them the basic mod functions in their trheads only since they already know how to moderate and know the rules better than almost everyone.

Also more PM/Attachment space would be nice.

BTW: I just realized I could enable HTML for my posts.

I STRONGLY disagree with no flood control for Elites. You can't type out anything worth typing in under 15 seconds or whatever it is.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Yoshi da Sniper on 2005-01-20 at 22:05:32
I thought it was 30 seconds or something...

oh well, fine, disable it.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by (U)Bolt_Head on 2005-01-21 at 11:33:01
maybe just use differant times for each for flood control.

ADDITION:

DT didn't seem to moderate well.

Reenabled flood control.

I always notice how everyone thinks that they're wonderful moderators, but only 1/3 people I meet aren't munipulated by the power given.

I said 1/3.

If you ever noticed, people change when given responsibilities. They sometimes turn into buttmunches which I hate. I think everyone on the site should be loose and be here to have fun. I hate moderators who think its their only purpose to WATCH discussions, when they used to participate.

There pretty much isn't anything to give to elites that regulars don't have, except more space on attachments.

I've never changed my attitude and behavior once I became DLDB Keeper and later Global Mod.

I just thought of something. When we looking for new mods in the future when SEN grows some more and is in need of more mods this what we must look for. People who won't change because now they got power.

Myself, I was guilty of being over serious at the site I was an older moderator for, www.supremestarcraft.com. Although the site was no where near as popular as staredit.net is today (and still isn't tongue.gif), I took my moderation job way to seriously.

It was a good lesson though, when I went on to make staredit.net. I just don't want to find others who make the same mistake wink.gif

Omg... I just looked at my signature in IE. That's censored.gif ty. How the hell do browsers display an image in two different ways?

One does it right. One guesses at what kind of image it is based on the information contained and then displays it in it's already poorly constructed workspace of a webpage it calls a browser.[attachmentid=4548]
