Yeah just another dumb poll. I bring it up because i was using the computer in the computer lab and the small backspace key really pisses me off.
I always end up adding back slashes when i try to delete so I end up with words like "tyepin\\\\" then i look up and think "WTF?"
So yeah I like the keyboards with the bigger backspace and smaller Enter Key.
Here are the differant types notice the backslash button's location.
Option 1: Small back space, L Shaped Enter ('\' on top row)
[attachmentid=4297]
Option 2: Big backpace, Straight Enter ('\' under backspace) I belive this is all Microsoft keyboards.
[attachmentid=4295]
Option 3: Big backspace, L Shaped ('\' under enter)
[attachmentid=4296]
Option 4: Big backspace, Stupid Enter ('\' to the left of enter)
[attachmentid=4294]
I have to completely agree with you. If a keyboard doesn't have the big backspace, it really pisses me off. Which is why I hated using computers down in Honduras when I was vacationing. Everyone down there uses a Spanish keyboard which has special keys that let them enter in other characters like '¿'. Plus, I've been using keyboards with large backspaces since I can remember.
lol, if thats true i think you voted for the wrong thing. (unless i did, or it wasn't you)
Why isn't 'L-shaped enter but large backspace' included in the poll? My keyboard seems to mix the best of both worlds.
Oh, 'vacation' isn't a verb, Chu. I expected better from a good English user like you.

Haha, I know. I don't know why I used that word instead of "on vacation".
Oh, and Bolt, I didn't vote for the same reason CaptainWill just mentioned. I have a reverse L shaped enter key with a strait long backspace.
This is almost exactly what keyboard I use, except I don't have the arm rest and I have an extra key on the top right.

Ohh I had forgot they made them that way. I guess the real identifyer is where they put the back slash key. I'll see if it lets me add the option.
Edit when looking for pictures i found another type thats really gay. See top.
PS. Option 2 is the exact keyboard i use, except i have the corded version (also has the display lights for cap locks, num locks, and function lock (gay).
my keyboard has 2 backspaces =)
2nd variant and in between left

and Z
I miss my old keyboard with the 1st variant =(
Yeah that fourth one is an old school keyboard. You rarely see those nowadays.
LoL the next poll can be how is your Function keys seperated? In groups of 3 or 4 (notice the mircosoft keyboard Option 2 is seperated in groups of 3)
I perfer groups of 4 but it doesn't bother me.
I've seen them all packed together in some keyboards.
ADDITION:
Here:

Isn't that one of those rolly types? like plastic keys and all?
Anyways that looks like a laptop keyboard with the crazy small keys. I didn't bother trying to figure thoese out cause i hate them all.
I wish i could design my own keyboard. I never seen one that i like everything about it. The thing that bugs me the most about my current one is that stupid function lock. I got to turn the function keys on before I use them, and every time i Reboot i have to do it again.
PS. Compleatly unrelated question. How do you set the special buttons on your keyboard like the buttons that open up the internet or go to your email? All mine do nothing. (too lazy to figure out on my own)
That's not a roll up, it's an illuminated keyboard.
http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/input/keyboards/5c3f/I have a laptop, and trust me, laptop keys are still smaller than that. The keys on that keyboard are meerly compacted together to save space also. I really like those kind of keyboards.
Anyway, there is usually software for the keyboard that you have to install to setup functions for the keys. Check the name of the keyboard and search google for software for it. They might have it on their webpage.
I <3 my keyboard. It has everything needed for me.
I like the long backspace and the long enter and the backslash under the backspace. I hate those keyboards with the backslash next to the backspace. I always hit it because I'm so used to this one.

Looks like that cept it's black bg and grey keys.
I have one of those old-school keyboards that you mentioned. I never knew that there were any different types, to be honest - every computer at the school has a similar keyboard to the one I have.
Maybe different types is a US thing?
Why do you need a backspace button? If you were perfect like me, you'd never use it anyways

.
Or maybe it's just different regions of the world. But I remember seeing those style keyboards in old used computer parts stores. I never see anyone retailing them as new.
Really I would not have any of those (all miss the æ,ø and å button

), but if I had to chose, I would have taken number 4.
With me it's the other way around. My new computer came with an old-school keyboard (2 months ago), I have a rectangular enter on my old laptop from 1999.

Well i found all the pictures at newegg.com and didn't search that long so it isn't that rare i guess.
LoL the one handed keyboard, that would be weird if you could do that. (wonders why you would need one. . . besides that one thing.)

While presenting a unique key layout, the ergonomics have been shown to significantly shorten learning time compared with the traditional QWERTY layout. (University studies indicate new users can reach 40 words per minute in 10 hours versus the 56 needed with QWERTY.) Since over 75% of all users do not touch type but use a “hunt and peck” approach, the FrogPad presents an opportunity for faster
I'm not alone!!!!!
Screw most keyboarsd, it needs the slash button way out of the way. I alawys press the slash button instead of backspace, which is why I chose number 2, but if there was one with a big 'L' shaped backspace button, I would definately get it.
lol IP. Perhaps you are perfect, but not everyone is, and since your an admin, you may have to edit some spammy or evil posts, and it must be annoying to highlight certain parts and replace them with spaces or something.
My keyboard is almost like the second keybord that (U)Bolt_Head has in the first post.
Big backpace with a straight enter and the backslash under the backspace.
[center]Mac keyboard! Woohoo so much easier to type on these, in my opinion.[/center]
