Get something that does hash checks or something similiar. I personally love bittorrent, even blizzard used a torrent to release it's open beta of wow. Although, the torrent networks are going down because they are getting massively sued by idiots... the concept still owns.

Kazaa is crap. They claim to not install any spyware but it comes bundled with GAIN and other . I use limewire.

Yes actually they do come with a lot of Spyware and Adware. I noticed that many songs I downloaded from KaZaA are messed up and corrupted.
I use a java version of BitTorrent called Azureus. And I also use WinMX.

I don't think Kazaa is safe because my computer started going screwy ever since my sister used it. We reformated the whole comp and no more downloading things.

I just don't download those things. I don't care much about music so i never download music. Most of my downloads come from here which is a trusted site with no junk in it.

Kazaa is the worst thing ever and worst of all, it's illegal in some terms.

I really do like Limewire and it's completely legal because they got a host and the version with almost no features is free. They also got one with download accelerator and tons of other features for $20 so they pay for the legal stuff.

I use Kazaa for a year or so and all I ever got were 244 viruses (on this computer) 6 unremoveble pup-ups that keep showing till this day and one virus that ruined my old computer and caused me to buy a new one.

and btw, kazaa is not illigal, but if you're clever enought you can use it to do illigal things.

Kazaa Media Desktop isn't safe... Many Spy, and bots, and many cookies are F*cking Owning the whole Kazaa...

Kazaa "LITE" is not a proprerty of Kazaa Media Desktop and it's safer but still not really "safe"

I use Shareaza, it's spy free, cookies free... and with a good setup i can download a 3.0G game in about 1 week... And shareaza can download bit-torrent files, and you can download file owned by emule user.

Kazaa loves to install that wonderful spyware on your computer! Either get a spyware-free P2P program or get a Mac.

Any form of Torrent
IRC DCC Transfer
Freeware non-commercial Gnutella P2P programs.

Yeah, some of those methods are pretty old. Can't be too careful though.

Search for Ares. It's a copy of Kazaa's design. Nothing bad.

Any downloading sites that get a ton of hits I don't go to, they are usually not too safe. I got a Russian Trojan from Funnyjunk, and we ended up having to wipe everything because it raped my computer (luckily my dad backs every thing up onto discs every month, ) So, if you have a reason to suspect Kazaa is not asfe, I don't recommed going there.

Bit Torrents's Speed is determined by how much you have uploaded. The more you upload, the faster the download.

Therefore, Bit Torrent owns. Period.
