Hey guys i'm back again, i don't know why my topic was locked but oh well.
1) i found out how to move the location
2) the doodad won't delete cause i can't select it
3) i really should have paid attention in my math class.
4) Why is half of my doodads showing and the other half not there?
5) I downloaded starforge and it's REALLY laggy, is that a bad thing?

1) Good Job, since you now how to move locations that will help when you son't have locations to spare...

I.E.

You have a limited 255 locations
But, since you have like 64,000+ Triggers you should save your locations and use the move location more smile.gif

2) If you are using Starforge for the doodad, you can just use the terrain feature and go over it, because in starforge it "paints" the doodad unlike SCMdraft or SCXE.

3) eh... we all have a.d.d. at times

4)Dont worry if they look like that in the editor that is just how it was programmed, they will show all the way up in the game

5) Nope, the terrain feature with SF sucks, thats why you should use SCMdraft or SCXE for terrain....
I would recommend SCMdraft because you can place illegal sprites, but if you have illegal sprites and you open your map up sith SCXE it will remove them!

BTW: What kind of map are you working on??

2) Make sure you are in doodad mode.
4) Sometimes StarForge messes up doodads.
5) SF demands quite a bit of CPU and Memory to run. Make sure your computer isn't clogged up with programs running in the background.

That doesn't work with things like trees and signs and stuff, it will not lave the top aprt. To fix a doodad that SF messed up (it turnes the doodad into a half sprite, so you can walk behind it sometimes when you normally can't), you should open the map in SCmdraft and save. it will fix most doodads for the normal editors. However, it doesn't seem to wrok on things like signs and stuff. =\

- 2 - Which doodad? And what editor? In any editor though, a simple click and a press of the delete button works.

- 3 - You should have.

- 4 - You either have a impossible doodad (One that cant be placed) or you have too many doodads. (Normally, the max is 200 in SE)

- 5 - Somewhat. I suggest running it and before that, make sure that no programs are running (That take up a LOT of memory, such as Starcraft, not sure about AIM, MSN messenger, and other IM's)

Ive had this problem before, it doesnt look like you are selecting it because sometimes like in SF you can't se the green ring around it, but it really is there, so just press delete

SF doesn't do doodads. It will have the terrain part, and if it exists, the sprite part. You can select doodads in scmdraft or X-tra though, if you are in the doodad layer.
