For a couple days to a week i will have dial up... yes i have downgraded but i will have to live with it for a bit. Im using just a regular telephone wire plugged into my computer. How do i log onto b.net? maybe not to play games but to just talk?

The same way as always.
When I used to have 56k about 2 years ago it automatically Dialed-up for me.
If not just manually dial-up and get into b.net the same way as always.

Contrary to popular belief, a dial-up connection will not make you lag on b.net.

Really? I noticed a huge difference when I got DSL after dial-up.

[center]I used to connect to Battle.net through SC, and it would dial, and connect by itself. Now that I'm using SC Carbon, I have to connect through AOL, then through SC... Really sucks.

I had dailup, I didn't lag unless my parents picked up the phone. In which case, I got lagged out completely. So I highly suggest taping the phones before you log on

Yes actually Wireless networks + Cable < Dialup for playing SC
Although wireless networks + cable is faster, dialup is more stable.

uh... it does have something to do with clan (MC) possibly the fact that i am IN clan (MC) and was hoping either my friends bringer, alpha, voidarchon might be able to help me.

I have 56k right now and play on b.net, i have to connect through aol then go on to b.net. I dont really lag much, but i have a good computer and a solid connection for 56k. its not that bad although it is worse than cable. i also had cable at one time, until i moved to hillbilly country...
