To the creator,Technical_Death,I think, or to any that knows:
It caught my attention the fact that the Sniper does not automaticly attack the enemy units, but you must order to attack to kill them.
Who did you do that?
Do you mean "Why did you do that?"? 'Cause what you said makes sense.
If you DO mean "Why", then my GUESS, I'm not sure, but I think it's so that the PLAYER has to SEE the enemy and tell it to attack. It's the closest to actualy sniping you can get without tons and tons of triggers. More realistic.
Simple, you allie the player the the computer
If i remember right i was making a sniper rpg where you needed to do this, it got scaped so Tech (now Yoshi) used it
Hi, I'm Technical Death (old name).
The Computer is NOT your allie, believe it or not.
As you can see, your ghost is permanately cloaked (no uncloaking button). I thought to myself, and figured In Starcraft, when your ghost is cloaked, it does not attack automaticly because blizzard thinks that you should be going around "covertly". I used this to my advantage and made them cloaked on my map, thus you now must right click on the unit to attack it.
How I disabled uncloaking?
You'll notice you don't have a ghost the second the game starts. This is because they are owned by Player 8 (Computer) and set to cloak. Player 8 has the cloaking ability on "reasearched". Thus, they all cloak. Then, a few seconds later, it gives them all to the players, and they have their cloaking ability "disabled". Its a weird effect in Starcraft, it disables the button, but they remain cloaked.
Then, put hypertriggers to set energy to 100%, and your done.
No big secert to that map eh?

Huh, not allied. Cool. Never knew that trick, wonder why I've never seen it/heard of it/experienced it before...
With all my maps, you'll notice at least one new concept I try to put in. I do that with ALL my maps.
Maybe you've never used cloaked ghosts before? I notice it every time I use them. It's kinda a pain in the ass when I have to force them to attack, but its also good because they dont attack when I want them to hold position.

I never knew about the stuck-as-cloaked thing.
And with any map I make I try to add atleast one never-before-seen-thing. I'm getting sick of RPG's and Rp's, 'cause they never. Have. Anything. New. And everyone(except [erhaps Yoshi and a few others) that has new, cool, good, revolutionary idea for maps SUCK at it! Kinda makes me think about what kinda people are on B.Net...
Too bad you aren't one of my testers. I've done some very nice things with 'RPG' maps. My only problem is finishing those maps.

They will attack when attacked by other units in defense.
Hey, uhh, where would I post an "Idea for maps" thread where I can just give people all and any ideas I wanted to or thought of trying to impliment into a map?
In the Staredit General forum.
IMO, idea threads are pretty worthless, unless we can actually play the map. It's done in General StarEdit though.
Not worthless. You may think your idea is elite, but other people may think it sucks. Therefore, you should get multipule suggestions.
Well, if you can't make maps for crap but you want certain ideas to be spread on B.Net so that it's got some NEW ones, what's the best way?
Telling a large group of people, supposedly map-making people, what they are. BEst I can think of.
Mmokay. I meant "how" instead of "who"...
Thanks Yoshi da Sniper. It is a very interesting trick.
NP, hopefully most of these tricks will be common so map makers will have to find new ones

Maps that push the boundaries? Well if your talking about that then; Civil War : Campaign Virginia does that. If you've ever played it you will know what i mean! It is amazing! And the Sequals kicks arse! "Western Theatre", they are maps that are amazing; easy to play, require techniques and tricks as well as the ability to uprade in different ways and do specials techniques, as well as a fun score system! The Triggering is soo impressive it is worrying, as well the information background on units events and style!

It seems the way you described it, it was as if you made the map Coko or knows a friend that made it.

lol
Sooo... a bit of detail or an attachment for this so wonderfully completely grounbreakingly new and amazing?
