Is it even possible to attach a control tower to a StarPort in installation terrain? I know you can have them both, but separated.....If so, how many pixels away does the Control Tower have to be from the StarPort? I can't use StarCraft right now.....

You could try to convert from anther terrian to installation, where the building is preattached.
Other than that, I think starforge or scmdraft may be able to attach it.

You can place them just fine in SCMDraft 2.
