For something I'm working on I'm trying to create the inside of an apartment complex. I need to have corridors blocked off with "rubble" though everything I use tends to look stupid. This would be on badlands terrain using asphalt/structure to create the inside of the building. If anyone has an ideas on how best to create the effect of a pile of rubble blocking your path, your input is greatly appreciated. Please note that the point of this request is to make the pile of rubble look good.
In Starforge you can place Terran building rubble sprites that dont dissapear. I suggest you use that.
Rock sprites from disabling something can be createed in game, provided its done off-screen.
Or you could mix both of their ideas to make a little ruble going to a big pile.

How's this?
Or are you looking at units only?
He is talking about doodads or terrain. Not units I'm pretty sure.
How can units become rubble? That is a good rubble effect though Ðeathknight. Mixing up doodads is a good idea.
Yeah what whatever his name is said, how do u make rubble from units.... anywho how long did it take you to make that ruble, like 3 minutes.... which makes it both easy and looks good, asuming you have starforge or something close to it.
For rubble, I would have to go with scarabs. They look much like rubble.
Not really, plus they have that whole disappears thing going for them.
I think you should go with DeathKnight's idea that looks great
I'd go with dk's example.
Dk's rubble to me looks like a great idea...but I suggest using different sprites. I personally think the half-built terran buildings look good. But thats just me.
