I know that it is possible. I've seen it on Yoshi's Matrix map, but I'm not exactly sure HOW to do it. I know that you can't give units to extended players, create extended player units, nor do anything of the sort! Anybody can help?
You get 2x Speed with a P14 Map Revealer in the upper left corner, right? Can you place the map revealer somewhere else and move it to the corner when you want 2x Speed, then move it back when you don't?
just go to tutorial section, i seen there a little bit ago.
There was a topic on this somewhere..a long time ago...
Anyways:
You can have 2x speed for all the preplaces units then use the create unit trigger to make all the other units normal speed. If my memory serves mr right from the last thread.
Yeah that's right. Preplaced units will be sped up and spawned units won't be. I think placing a unit anywhere for p13 would do that.
I'm pretty sure placing a P14 Map revealer gives you 2x speed, and a scarab/interceptor gives you 4x. But then again..if my memory serves me right..

in the upper left corner
BZZZZZZTTT!!!!!!11A player 13 map revealer crashes. Place any OTHER player 13 unit ANYWHERE. The unit will speed up
frame rate of preplaced units.
man you REALLY get annoyed by those in the upper left corner map revelears

everytime I read it i think of you

...Giving those units 2x speed.
And as I have said in many other topics, you can place the P13.P14 unit WHEREVER YOU WANT... WHEN WILL PEOPLE UNDERSTAND.
http://www.staredit.net/index.php?tutorial=1When will someone fix my damned tutorial to say:
QUOTE
-2x Map Speed
Place any player 13 unit (other than a map revealer) anywhere as the first unit on your map.
-or-
Place a player 14 Map Revealer anywhere as the first unit on your map
-4x Map Speed
Place a player 14 scarab anywhere as the first unit on your map.
This unit MUST be placed first.
When i was playing is normal speed to 2x speed, it only speeds up the frame rate of units, so they still go the same speed

Normal speed gave the units smoother transitions, while 2x speed gave them choppy movements. Even though it didn't actually increase their speed of movement, those choppy animated hydras sure can give a feller a good time
