Not so good at melee, I used to be decent.
Also I lag a lot because of my wireless connection.
Maybe if my 100ft network cable comes before then.

But what happens if you play against a guys that isn't organized and can't scedule the game you get discalified because of him... THats stupid because I know their are some people that don't really care and they would do that...

Worst? Same race matchups are always the BEST. They show who is much better with their race, who can handle the units better. It's not a test so much a test of control or strategy anymore, it's a test of who has better unit micro and macro.

no chuiu... in a z vs a random who turns out to be z, he is going to go gas and pool much faster than me. While i not knowing what race he is pretty much have to go hatch first. and zvz is a wierd matchup anyways.

Hmm, sounds fun, I've only done about 6 melee games in the last year though , not counting slaughtering my siblings on network .

But, I'm assuming if I will be gone in another state(without access to a computer) for the ENTIRE week of spring break then this would prevent me from participating would it not? Or will this whole thing be long over before spring break?

These are taken on a case by case basis. They would be stupid to sign up because it is a waste of 50 minerals. And anyone who has moeny to throw away like that is probably more trusted than some n00b who decides to ruin it.

Depends when your spring break is, working on the assumption its not the same for everyone. Matches should begin somewhere near the end of February or start of March.

All tournaments are by default latest patch on Broodwar unless otherwise noted.

i asked my question because the fact that versin 1.12 will and it should come out, we will have a hard time adjusting to the new version than the version of 1.11b. If the version 1.12 will be released on the day of the tourney perhaps. And we still don't know the features on version 1.12 so it is important.

Oops, i had read the latest news item, and i read that patch 1.12 had been released. Now it is clear that the version to be used is 1.12, right?

1.12 would have to be used if they were playing on battle.net/. My Spring Break is March 14th through March 20th though I'll probably be gone a few days before the 14th traveling to where I'm going. I think with games every week this pretty much rules out my participation , ah well, I'm really rusty at melee anyways .

Yeah, first of all you have plenty of time to convert to the new patch. And second of all, as -BW-Map_God (so he claims!) pointed out, you will need the patch to play on bnet.

Whatever time you and your opponent agree upon, so long as its played in the one week you're given. Don't you read for this BEFORE you sign up?

Sometimes I can get a drone to float in melee games. I don't want this drone to float - nor do I try to get it to float. Would I be removed from the tourney then, even though it only effects me?




That is alright, I know a little glitch that works in melee games (I don't know if it still works with the new patch out...) If this little glitch is executed perfectly, then the person that did it can't lose. Why? Lets just say when the unit is killed - and it must be killed in order for a melee game to be over - starcraft will crash. Guess what this means? No reply!

... With that said, I want in so I can Execute the above bug! (Joking)
