Moo. The time had come for an SEN Official Tournament.
.: EligibilityAny person who is a registered member of SEN
prior to February 15th for joining is eligible to join. This is to prevent others from joining SEN solely to enter the tournament. Unlimited participants will be accepted. Mini Moose 2707 or any other tournament staff are not eligible to enter.
If you live in an odd time zone or have other circumstances that make you feel you from playing your games, do NOT enter the tournament. You will be wasting your 50 mineral entry fee (see next).
.: How to EnterTo enter, use
this link. An
entry fee of 50 minerals is
required. Send it to Mini Moose 2707 with something in the message field about signing up for the tournament. If you cannot pay the entry fee, you cannot enter the tournament.
If you do not plan to play your matches, you are wasting your Minerals. Do NOT sign up. Unless good cause is shown, there shall be no refunds.
.: Sign Up DeadlineAll entries must be recieved by
Saturday, February 26th. No entires will be accepted after this date. A confirmation of participation PM will be sent within 3 days prior to the tournament. If no PM is recieved, the player shall be removed.
If you change your username, inform me so I can switch the registration over.
.: Game ReportingIt is the winner's responsibility to report the results of a matchup. Replays must be sent to Mini Moose 2707 through PM. or somehow else given to him.
If a replay is not submitted, the game is considered never to have occurred!! Alternatively, one player may concede defeat, in which case no replay is required. If replay editing is detected, you will immediately be removed from the tournament and all your involved matches discounted. As an additional alternative, any SEN moderator or above may observe the game and report directly to me, provided they are not playing in or have affiliation with the game. I can also obs personally, if I happen to be online. I will try to be online more during tournament dates.
.: GamesMatches will be
a single 1 on 1 game, all to be played on
SELECTED TOURNAMENT MAPS.
These maps include
1. Lost Temple
2. Rivalry
3. Gaema Gowon
4. Namja Iyagi
A .zip file of the tournament maps has been created for download
here. All maps in the .zip are observer versions, should you desire one and not have it.
Update: Namja Iyagi turns out to not be an obs version. A new .zip was uploaded with an updated version, made by Chu. Thanks Chu.

Player's Race is to be determined directly before each match, and is not set. "Random" is an acceptable race and is allowed. Players will be selected to play each other at random, and may only play the corresponding opponent for the tournament records.
Observers are permitted in a match, but must leave if requested by any of the players. Should an observer be in the tournament and interfere with the match, they will be immediately removed from the tournament and the match discounted. The player creating each game has the right to ban anyone who enters besides his opponent before the game starts. A decisive victory need not be won. Should a player be using bad manner tactics such as floating around as Terran, sticking Pylons in the corner, they will be removed from the tournament. Viable strategies and tactics such as "Offensive Gas" (building on opponents geyser in early game), DT rushing, and "Manner Pylon" (building a pylon to block opponent's mining) are all fair game and not considered bad manner.
.: Hacks/Bugs.No hacks, spoofers, or other third party programs are allowed. Bugs and Glitches affecting gameplay found inside the Brood War game are not to be used. Should a replay contain evidence pointing to players hacking or abusing bugs and found guilty, they will be immediately removed from the tournament without question. Minor glitches such as hold-position Lurkers/Workers and allied Mines are allowed. Something such as floating units are not. If in doubt, ask.
.: TimesFirst round will begin on the entry deadline or the day after. From that point, each pair of players will have until the following Monday to complete their games.
It is the responsibility of the players to arrange their matches. Should the set of games not be complete in the time allocated, the case will be examined and one or both entrants will be disqualified. The next round will begin immediately after the conclusion of one round, but not after the exact one week date arrives. Games played before a round begins will not be discounted (unless the other player is unable attend his match during the round).
