That's fairly amusing CaptainWill.
Additionally, this would not be that expensive. You could probably buy 5 of these chips for a dollar. I mean, if all it has is your name on it, it wouldn't need anything more than a negligible amount of memory. I don't really see the harm in this.
My new opinion is that these nametags are good for schools. They might not keep you from breaking the law, but by Hell, they will help punish you for breaking it. I'd much rather spend 50 cents on a nametag than have criminals running around.

I mean, you're safe as long as you follow the law. Heh heh.
You have a choice its not like school is a dictatorship... If you just got up and walked out of the class they couldn't do anything to physically restrain you. If you can leave school then you can probably get rid of your ID card. If that doesn't work slaughter all of the faculty in the school and hold out in the welding room with a blow-torch

"Lol. That's why teachers give the Role Chart to the Substitutes. At my school we have the ID Card but my school doesn't need the scanner, they only use the ID Card to tell who you are and your NOT required to wear it, and also. Your only required to use it for is just checking out books at the liberey. The Role Chart at my school tells where you set at and everything, It only gives the name of the comrade who sits at each desk though."
My teachers don't always have them though.
We have ID cards, but we only use them at lunch (if we have cooked lunch at school) or to check books out of the library also.
I have no problem with that, because we aren't required to have them (at least not in my year) on us at all times, and they don't have these silly scanners.

No, this one school has ID scanners at every doorway, and when you go through that doorway, it will automancily scans it and it will send a message to your teachers. Like for example, If I entered my First period class, which is Drama. The scanner will scan my ID card, and it will send a message to my teacher's computer saying who just entered the class, and also. If I went to the restroom, the scanner in there, will just send a message to the office saying that I just entered the Restrooms. There is a mcricochip at the back of the ID card and that gives the signal to the Scanners who just entered. The Computer chip will have your first and last name and also it will have your ID # too. You can just break the computer chip by just hitting it hard enough or just bang it against a locker or a wall. And also, that school requires you to be wearing the ID card AT ALL TIMES. Lucky for me, my ID card is only used for checking out books in the libery and for updating it too.
Iwas just quoting and replying to CaptainWill's post.

It's not high tech to me, at all.
I was stating that we don't need this high tech stuff, because it isn't high tech at all - it's just restrictive of personal freedom and totally unecessary for the majority of people.
I think the whole thing is going overboard... I swear that the administration is trying to make us all into clones...
Agreed.
Im just glad that I'll graduate (and do all my kleptomania) before my school gets id cards. If people are given freedoms they should not be taken away if they are not causing unreasonable problems.
The High tech ID cards in Schools would cost alot because of codes, barcodes and other things to be found on the card. The administration who need alot of money and would have to buy 1 for every student there.
I say spend more on supplies and not high tech things you don't need for a good education.
I agree, I would spend about around 100$ in school fees in high school i dont wanna spend alot more.
This is all bull:censored: At my scshool we have ID cards, but they are just for paying for lunch and for the library. If we don't have our cards for lunch we just have to go last and we sit where they tell us to. Which is still bull

because even if we dont have the card to eat, they still take the money off of our account. And if we lose it, it cost $5 to replace. A $5 peice of plastic seems a little extravagant, dont you think?
These cards would cost thousands to issue, plus adding the scanners would cost couple thousand. Also, i think that knowing everyone's name by memory is really easy.
kinda late to reply, but this kind of thing is kinda stupid, there wont be kids who like it, in fact, some will hate it so much they will find ways to stop it (even the ones in the shoulder, you could like wear a lead thingy over it, or if its really cheap, aluminium might even work) and well....they would have to be free and people could just break it and say they need a new one again and again
