There is this one school they are using High Tech ID Cards, were when you enter a classroom, there will be a scanner that will scan your ID Automanclly, Then send a message to the Teacher's Computer who has just entered the room, and it tells whoever leaves too. There is a scanner on top of the Doorways at this school, I can't remember the name of the school too. Also, All students in that school have to always be wearing their ID Cards at all times while in the school. The ID Card is hooked up around a peice of string and then put around your neck and the ID card will be around the Chest area, so that when people are talking to ya, they can just read your name, It gives away their First and Last names on it. What do you think about this? When my parents saw this. My Father said this out loud " , come on. Give some privatly to those kids, those kids don't want to know to everyone's names" I agree to that too. Let's hear some of your thoughts.

What country, because that is an infringement of the US constitution dealing with privacy policies and the freedom to wear what you awnt within reasonable limits.

Thats just crazy, I'd throw my card in the garbage can so that no one constantly knows where I am.

The card goes around the chest area? Will that scanner thing read it for girls with big breasts of fat boys?

It's faulty too. What's to say that someone won't steal someone else's and then use it to deal drugs or something? I think a better option would be the microchips underneath the shoulder, or wherever they go, and do the same thing without the risks. Plus the nametag part is a bit much.

Seriously, doing that will just make the kids to rebebl against the ID card system. If they all threw theirs away the school will be messed up.

Also, do the staff members have to wear it too? Because if not, then that is just not fair.

that is so messed up..they don need to know where you are, watch eventually they will know what you are doing in the bathroom, "it willsay it on the card" or some bull like that,i would just hack the school system to say everyone is in everyroom at the sametime

That's what I was thinking.
I wouldn't mind this too much(except that a card hanging around your neck is very inconveniant, can be uncomfortable, is easy to steal, and so forth), but what I would mind is if they had individual chair sensors, because then I would neve be able to tell substitutes that I sit next to [insert name of friend here].

No, it just scans everyone. You'll be sent to the Office if your not wearing your ID Card.



Everyone is required to wear it at that school. If you keep watching the News. They might talk about it again.



At the back of the ID Card badge. There is a small MicroChip on it, If you can hit it hard enough, you could problary break it.



Lol. That's why teachers give the Role Chart to the Substitutes. At my school we have the ID Card but my school doesn't need the scanner, they only use the ID Card to tell who you are and your NOT required to wear it, and also. Your only required to use it for is just checking out books at the liberey. The Role Chart at my school tells where you set at and everything, It only gives the name of the comrade who sits at each desk though.

That is just plain stupid... What is the school rich god all that must cost a fortune. The kids can do what Ghandi did in Sounth Africa!! Burn the ID cards!!! mMAUAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA

of course it costs a fortune, geez, just get better things to teach with and give the students better futures, stop showing off all of your money by buying some cards with microchips in it

It sounds cool but too bad u cant pay lunch with it lol. The card is prolly for attendance into the class.

What attendance problems are so great that the staff must resort to this?

So waht if the subtitue teacher has a chrat of where everyone sits. Just tell them that you name is that of another person and get them all confused.

If theres a substitute teacher u sit in ur seat then switch . Thats what i do and haven't been caught.

Yea lmao whenever we have subs we always switch seats. I think everything should be on computer like every student should have a laptop in every class so that paper isnt needed, you would just download and upload all your HW and classwork and everything.

We wouldnt have to waste paper or pencil lol. We could just carry the cards and a laptop to the classes and home and it would be easy to carry as well.

The teachers at my school have to wear something like that; I would have thrown it out because it fricking stupid. I don;t know about you guys, but I don't particuly want a microchip injected into me so I can always be identified and tracked. Both of those options are crazy. If my school tries to foce me to wear an ID card or something, then I'm going to get them really pissed off.

what crap is this? another sucky part about this is that if you trip and fall on it, or break it some other way u'll probably have to buy another ur self and they probably are very expensive. Also why would u even need this? it serves no practicle purpose other then telling teachers when a students enter/ leaves room.... it's not like the teachers have eyes or anything, plus if they did those eyes would cost so much, i'm sure this is much cheaper *is being sarcastic*

I think its pretty good. Stops bunknig and cutting lessons short. Yes you may be thinking im a crazy one aswell. But I went though school same as eveyone elese, I was a bad kid in school, Allways skipping/Bunking. Cutting lessons short by runing out half an hour ealry. But now i regret that....... Yes, This card system is Good. Its just like collage. You have to waer an ID card does anyone care? No

Now i hear people saying you can steal someone elses. Not true i can think of a few reasons why it would not work.

1. You have a photo of yourself on the card with all your detials. Student number, Name.

2. Just waer it under your top, If it is So called High-Tech it would still be able to scan it is you who enters/leaves the class room.

3. Another thing, Why would you want to steal someone elses ID card. If you want to do something bad, With me if i wanted to smoke or take drugs i would just take or smoke them not caring what ID card i waer. ( I dont smoke or take drugs, using myself as an example)



Well simple answaer, Dont fall and brake it.

Most kids are still going to skip class with these ID Cards. A lot of kids who already do probably wouldn't care at the time. It just wasts money and time. You can figure out who someone is by rememebring what they look like. The only time that wouldn't work is with substitue teachers; but who cares if people switch names for the day. It doesn't do anything, just entertains the students a little more.

Why would kids steal eachothers id cards? well, y do people do a lot of the craxzy things they do? some people arent graced with great mental capacities.

Yah i heard that threr coming out with a thing for schools when you go to the lunch room they scan your hand instead of pin numbers. If there gonna make that i think thats gonna be crap cause it might take all of your money XD

What! This is an outrage - we (US and UK) do not live in dictatorships, so why do we need all this freedom-reducing garbage?

Are they going to be able to tell which toilet cubicle you're using? It's ridiculous that the entire school has to wear these expensive things. I mean, even if they only made the truants wear them, they'd probably just leave them in the toilets so the teachers think they're taking a massive dump or something, and then bunk off school as usual.

Too restrictive of personal freedom and too open to abuse.
