that is a nice thought and opinion.

What is that!? Are you on a mineral spree? Or are you just trying to kick up your posts? I bet you didn't even read my post... pinch.gif
I mean really, you posted the same thing twice earlier too!

Europe is not part of Asia, I think that's the end of that.

look up the word "barbarian"
This whole topic makes almost no sense.

If Russia was part of Asia they would have the same boundaries.

It's like saying, is America part of Canada? Because they are after all both connected.

What are you talking about?? Do you not see that about 2/7ths of Asia's land is Russia? Go look at the world map and you'll see the big words "ASIA" and you'll c that Russia is part of the land called "ASIA." Most of russia land's is part of the asian continent. Otherwise, what else could it be? Can't be europe, sure as hell cant be africa, america, or australia. It's gotta be asia. I dont think we'd just leave that piece of land continentless.

Maybe the "important" part of russia is european so i can see why u'd make that assumption. But countries can be part of two continents at the same time. There's no law saying that it's illegal.

They are seperate, if they were together Russians would be Asians, but they aren't are they? They are not only seperated by geographic boundaries you know.

Russia is mostly Asia, but the small, important part is european

True, Most of the major parts of Russia are in the European area so maybe its part of Europe.

It most surely is. As reference, read my earlier statement.

Russia could be economically succesful on it's own, but that's not a smart thing for their government.

They're part of Northern Asia & East Europe.

They were doing pretty well, back when they were Communists. Since they became Demos like us, their economically been going weaker.

That's because when such a powerful country suddenly goes democratic, organised crime moves in.

Think of the Russian Mafia.

Russia is a powerful country they arnt pushovers the can defend themselves in time of war. They can make their own nuke and stuff as well.

official i believe they are recognized as being both part of asia and europe. One reason leaning towards asia is the fact that they werent recognized as a major power in europe tell considerably late compared to many of the other nation states. but they arent asia either because their customs lean towards a euopean set of ideals and goals. thus they are eurasian

Yes they could - when they were Communist. They could still defend themselves now...but make nukes? They certainly have the raw materials, the know-how (although most of that has left the country) and the manpower. What they lack is organisation, direction and purpose. Many of their nuclear weapons have 'gone missing' as well, by the way. mellow.gif

Demo is the reason why there is a Russian Mafia, That gang was created right after USSR became Demo.

I'm going to clear things up for everyone. Seems to me your all either off-topic or totally wrong. Russia(the country) is part of the continents Europe and Asia. Just because there customs are different does NOT mean they aren't a part of that continent. Also Jetblast, no1 said Europe was a part of Asia. The whole topic is about RUSSIA being a part of Asia. And also Jetblast Asia is not a country. Meaning using Russia, Asia= U.S.A. and Canada is totally irrelevant. By the statement "is Russia "in" Asia or Europe" we obviously don't mean they are one in the same. Meaning of course they do not have the same borderlines. I honestly think you guys need to stay on topic or just stay out. One last thing. Russia already has many nuclear weapons. I'm too lazy to look up who said they didn't but whoever it was really needs to get help in history class.
