What? WHY THE HELL WOULD STARCRAFT 2 TO HAVE TO BE 3D? OH, IT'LL LOOK MORE REALISTIC? FROM AN OVERHEAD VIEW? WHY THE HELL DO YOU NEED THAT DEPTH AND THE ABILITY TO TURN AN OBJECT IF IT'S ALWAYS FROM ONE VIEWPOINT? WHAT'S THE GODDAMN POINT? The point is to make idiots who think the latest engine stressing graphic innovations make for good games. Well, THEY DON'T. Starcraft looks MUCH, MUCH better then Warcraft 3, yet it's a hell of alot less laggy. If you're see ONE side of an object constantly, why does it need to have more sides? It's like saying that they should use full buildings in movies when the camera is going to only show one face. All it does is add money to the budget and blog down production. /rant

Cheers m8! Just what i meant...

Remind me to have an underwater section in my RPG (if I ever finish it).

I'm sure SC2 is going to have boatloads of glitches.

If they even come out with it, it will be rushed because of the bitchy public—I'm sure sprites will be something that is possible.

well, we can always hope that we find a hyper unit that looks like a pylon aura. since if you hex edit a map you can move hyper units.

Moving Sprite is POSSIBLE (No spelling error, I actually wrote POSSIBLE) Since someOne already done it.

It's in Experimental map section, I think somes of you can remember if you're old enough. Corsair were attacking Allot of orbs, which they were moving to the 'attack point' to a centered location over a marine. The effect was cool, was like a shield over a marine. So yeah, In a way it can be done.

Ps: Lemme 3 minute to make you a like to the map.

EDIT: Shit, It's not In DLDB and I don't have it. Well someOne old enough Like bolt or anyone, check for a map called: Shield trick or Shield Effect (something like that).

That's not a sprite, its an animation of corsairs attacking a shield unit which when it moves the animation is still on the unit. You can't move sprites.

That is very interesting.
Please tell me more.
I've never thought of it that way.
If Full3-D is just a waste of budget and makes the game lagg (especialy dial up users) then SC2 should remain 2D just like KingOfFighter (before Maximum Impact).

hmm... an underwater rpg? I should make that. Can't be too big cuz of sprite lag blink.gif

EDIT: Any1 know a way to reveal the entire aura sprite? It would work much better for coving most/half the map with it. closedeyes.gif
