Staredit Network -> Terrain -> Rock quarry

I can understand why you'd want credit for something, but this is rather pointless. Few people give credit for ideas they take when it comes to triggers, so what makes you think anyone would bother tipping the hat to you for a piece of terrain?

You people need to stop going around trying to claim that you came up with this and that and just post your terrain as a way to show other people new ideas. You will be recognized for your skill by your body of work. There's no need to go around pushing your greatness on other people.

Can I make a suggestion? You should make a melee map out of it smile.gif

This is definetly Hall of Fame material.

Perfect Blending and without any sprites.

Me and moogle have been doing that for several months sorry we beat ya too it.

Ours is more a blend of high dirt to regular dirt though

I've seen no release of it and no talk about it before, so this is first.

I liek the fact that they don't actually take up a lot of space and they look really nice but here is a suggestion:
Make the terrain change texture, like in some area put temple terrain or something to make it seem even more like it's a cliff.

Well thats a suggestion, but the whole point of this was to avoid that, if it was like that it would be like everyone elses like in the topleft of my first screen shot. It would just be highdirt blended back to low dirt.. This is just cliffs, with all the same dirt made to look with different elevations and trenches.

Here though, can't refuse a suggestion

After playing the map, I have come to the conclusion that anyone that is on the bottom of the upper edge peices gets an advantage, but those who are next to the lower edge of the walls get vision blocked anyway. Basically, the upper parts of high dirt are one way look outs, while the lower parts make no lookouts. If that makes sense to anyone.
I also saw what I would consider the best part of that terrain, but you never included it in your screen shots. It reminds me of almost a new ramp to high dirt. happy.gif I hope people know what I'm talking about, because I can't show any shots of anything until next week. sad.gif

I like it, finally some nice terrain without sprites. would be perfect if you fix the lower corner.

Well, the melee map is almost done, It will be a 2 vs 2 i guess. Nothing really special, I doubt the map will be balanced but it will have some wicked terrian.

If you have the time, you should do a little research on the formations of canyons and make a map that looks like it's made of a bunch of very naturally formed canyons and cliffs. That would be really cool.

That would, for those who cared, I've thought about it, but of all the people on SC, who will notice that sorta stuff while they are playing the map.

It would just look like any old terrain to them because they wouldn't have the knowledge of how rock formations really form.
