Staredit Network -> Terrain -> destroyed bridge

Argh, if I hadn't played Red Alert I would have thought this to be revolutionary but I stil think it's good. Just way too many sprites....

The bridge is pretty good but I don't see it's full potential in there. I mean, almost all the sprites int he are the same and it looks like the bridge collapsed uniformly which you you can't happen under normal circumstances. Maybe add some more randomness in the sprites and maing the bridge collapsed not in a straight line as seen in the pictures, but more like a zig-zaggy shape.

Thats so easy to make! god all there is to do is make the bridge, then cut it in half then put  censored.gif  load of rock sprites......

Doesn't really matter how easy it is to make in terrain—originality and looks seem to be what's popular on this forum.

I think your eyes are broken. There're 6 different sprites, and the break in the bridge is not straight at all.[attachmentid=6580]

You seem to be saying that there's something more important than originality and looks. Care to let us in on your secret? I'll grant that no one seems to understand the importance of functionality and practicality, but you should specify exactly what you think matters before saying how something "seems to be what's popular." Everyone knows that those words translate into "are overrated by people who don't know jack."

If you look closely, you also have to get some coastal cliff tiles and put them under the sprites so that it looks like some of the rubble is underwater. It's not as simple as you make it out to be.

Dromiceiomimus, is it?
I already specified my opinion in my previous post. In the post you were referring to, I was specifying what I thought about the public's opinion.

Although you have a good point, you should be careful about how much you say as compared to how much you've read.

Its easy to do... yeah... and?
Sometimes easiest things are the best ones, they look great and they are easy to make in a map. Also, originality and style is what really counts. If it is easy to make its just a plus.

Looks great.  It would be even better if ther was a non-sprite way to do it.

Looks very nice biggrin.gif Wonder if there is another way to do it Spriteless?
