Thats pretty awesome. And I agree with how it needs to look more grid-like. But its still looking like a good map.

So you finally decided to produce it... afterwards are you gonna take my idea of chess that I posted before hand on ideas when you first thought of battleship? Think about it please because the grid system would be the same just the battle sequence, rather than firing at eachother, moving over and defeating each other! confused.gif

What are you talking about?... The other forum about some battleship game. That's if im correct nothing like mine. My project was completely different. My map is exactly like the real battleships.

It is very hard to follow ones switches with out being the creator, if he would have labled the switches itd be much easier to follow.

I think he said it wasn't done yet, as he had to tweak the system to accomodate the consecutive hits rule.

I said it was complete besides the fact of 1 glitch, which i just fixed today, and its is now officially complete and it'll be in the dldb, by the end of today i hope. I'm just gonna run a few more tests to look for grammatical errors and the littles things that count, cause those can effect a big part of the map, just like leaving one word out of a sentence.

That stuff is up to me/BeeR. We more or less control map spotlight. Release it tomorrow evening and drop me a PM and I can get it in then. I don't have any time tonight to work in the DLDB and map night I will be working on my own maps or playing in Bnet.

Shutup, whenever i protect it it loses it's music, and im having problems with that. Anyone wanna help since the person that is supose to do it did it with the wrong version. Or should i release it unlocked like you are doing tux.

Just use winmpq and stick the sounds back into the map after protecting it. That's what I always do, like for instance to compensate for when scmie does that (when I need to reimport sprites).

Make sure the directory you put the sound in is:
"staredit\wav\"

For WinMPQ.

Ill just release it unlocked od to the fact the triggers are too advanced for n00bs, and it's hardly riggable besides placing map revealers every, which even then will not let you see their ships, just their muta. And people can learn from the map from those who'd reall like to.

I'm just amazed that something as complicated as Battleships works in SC. But after seeing minesweeper, I don't doubt it. Nice work!
