About the limitations on things being harmful to us, such as alcohol, drugs, etc. I say we let them use them. Make them legal. Let the idiots kill themselves. The gov't is just limiting our freedoms by saying we can't use it. I believe in the way they did it way back when. During the time chris said about the gun being more then a gun. We should be able to do anything we want so as long as it doesn't break these rules.
1) Hurt another living creature physically.
2) Hurts another living creature emotionally. (purposely)
3) Is not considered treasonous to the US.
Why do you think we have gun laws? Laws against automatic weapons?
Its not because some idiot shot up his brother in the street. Its so it stops the Civilians from gaining the tools to wage war upon them. Ya, sure we have laws that says we can rise up against a tyrannical gov't.... but with what weapons? Pistols? Ya then the highly trained marines would swoop in with M-16's and n 1337 speak.. pwn us. The point is, they say you can rise up because they know you can't. The marines are trained to kill mainly because they are stripped of all their dignity, kindness to others or objections to the gov't. Not all lose the kindness to others, but alot do especially when they are so confindent that they feel superior. (Notice the abuse scandals) They are then built up in the image that gov't wants, to kill, and to only listen to the gov't of the USA.
You know that thing on the constitution about freedom of privacy and such? Means nothing to the gov't. Ever heard of Project echelon? Ya well it moniters every communication in the world. Both humans and machines read through countless communications, the machines looking for key words, and the people looking for suspicious content. That means that little bit of personal information you never told anyone but your best friend... is being read by the gov't.
So many of the freedoms you cherish that are demanded by the constitution of the United States of America are broken everyday by the very gov't that has sworn to defend them. Wake up people... We have fixed elections, gun laws, and Weapons of Mass dustruction. Not a good combination.
