Why the hell put a 4 YEAR OLD KID on that sort of ride, wow, did the parents ever once think, "Hey, this is a crazy ride, i don't think this is a safe ride for him." I think the parents wanted their kid to die or something, probably just for the money lol. And if Disney wants to not have this kind of incident happen again, i think they should have an age requirement instead of a height requirement.

Forgot about shorties.

This is why I say screw the height limit. Some kids are tall, some people are short. I mean hell, I know people who are 15 and look 8. I also no people who are 8, and look 15. Height shouldnt contradict what your body is ready for. Age does, though.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by MapUnprotector on 2005-06-15 at 19:57:51
Theres a reason for the height limit, some people just aren't physically the right size to go on a ride.

Maybe, but does that mean a four year old over 44 inches is good enough to ride a potentially dangerous ride for someone that young? Apparently not.

Ha I went on there just this last winter break biggrin.gif

It wasn't that intense at all... but I mean a kid 4 years old... Common sense people.

The kid was four. He probably had something wrong or his body wasn't developed wink.gif

"Body wasn't developed" More like overdeveloped. This kid was almost 4 feet tall. Is a 4 year old supposed to be that tall? blink.gif

Well something was wrong anyway.

If only they could've known it was going to happen, they could've stoped it.

Oh, my bad, would there have been a way to stop the ride if it was going on? Like an emergency stop button?

You do realize that if you were spinning that fast anything you say would be very distorted. Plus, the mother thought he was just scared, you don't expect a scared 4 year old to have some kind of a heart attack or cardiac arrest.

Okay so there is no stop button? Not even emergency stop?

Meh, there aren't any emergency stops on rollercoasters anyway.

On the ground there is obviously a stop button. But most likely not in the ride. If there was people would probably just stop it for no reason..

Of course there is. You know how many safety regulations they have to comply with? Even on roller coasters there is a kind of emergency stop but not exactly one for the coaster itself. They have to be as safe as they can be. It obviously would be at the control panel though so it wouldn't be abused.

4. Not 84. Little kids scare easy, you don't expect them to sit through a ride entirely complacent, do you? Also, most kids usually don't just go into cardiac arrest.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by MapUnprotector on 2005-06-16 at 23:30:44
So little kids even at that age can't have cardiac arrest? I just want to know, is it because they are young and their hearts are strong and healthy?

You don't expect a rambunctious little kid to just have a heart attack. Think about it tongue.gif

Cardiac arrest comes from out of shape muscle fibers around the heart. By out of shape they can be: underly used, abused, infected(rare), impaled, or just old. In this case the kid probably became so scared that his heart raced so quickly he went into cardiac arrest, and that led into the heart attack. So painful for a four year old... I hope he wasn't forced to go on the ride by a censored.gif ing dumb father or some shit like that.

And also, this kind of thing is expected to be an outcome for young children on these rides. That why the height measure is there, because more then less of the time, people measure body maturity by size not age. THink about it.

Ya, but I doubt there are many 4 years old that are 5ft tall. It kinda, lowers the odds even more, know what I'm saying?

Besides, people die all the time for stupid reasons. And if you're religious, then it's all in God's plan. Don't interfere.

was it moms or dads fault?

That's pretty offensive, and i hope you wern't aiming that at me, especially since it got nothing to do with the child's death.

That's what i want to know, was it the either of the parent's fault? They possibly could've forced the boy to go on the ride, or make him feel like he has to.
