Alright cool, I am really Anxious to see them.

lol.... I'm a little angry right now. Last night my computer crashed when I was finishing the last touches of the extended terrain. So, I lost about 80-90% of the "special" effects with the terrain. So, I am going to cheat a little bit. I am going to borrow some of Rantent's Terrain and I am going to change it to my liking. (So it saves me time). All in all, I'll post the screenies in a little bit.

Wait was you using Starforge? If so it has an autosave on it, you could just go back to that point, if your terrain did get saved.

No, it was the entire computer.

I got bombed with like 500 pop-ups at once. My comp couldn't handle it, SO it took a ! (I love that smiley). Anyways, once it froze I was screwed. I got back on and did a SpyBot search and it came up with like 200+ entries. AAAAHHHH....

Yo thats a very Catchy Title man. I love your story line so far.. I can't wait to see somthing of this. I was acually thinking of somthing like this but i'm in so many maps i didn't see the point.. Well anyways. GOod luck with this man. I hope yo complete it and keep your progress going.

I hate it when you have all of these ideas you want to do. But, in actuality, you'll never do any of them. The bad thing is, all my ideas are RPG's. ... But, thanks for the compliment. I am really trying to get the screenies up... So, just keep waiting, and chekcing back. I'll post them, it's just I have to re-do a bit of the terrain.

I am almost 100% with the terrain. I'll be done tomorrow. I have... ALL day to work on this map tomorrow. So, I'll finish up the terrain and start on the actual enging tomorrow. I am going to start looking for testers in about 2-4 weeks. Right now, I have my few select testers which will help with debugging the map. But, when I look for the actual engine testers I'll let you know. If you'd like to test post here or PM me and I'll get back to you if and when I need you.

Hey man, the terrain looks pretty good and refined. It's simple and plain style is what makes it stand out. The storyline is pretty compelling too.

The gameplay also sounds great, this game will be awesome if you finish it!

Sounds like going be fun map jake. I asume during game " hero " falls in love or is in love with a female unless hero a chick then she in love with a guy, will you see hero // person hero loves like emotions change during different cutscenes between them. Like at first she may hate him or dislike him think he a dork or something. Anywoot map looks nice, kickass storyline cant wait hear more about it.

*NOTE: The beach is not finished, I am still adding in a few ambient features. Also, I will still be updating screenshots when I feel it is necessary. But, as of now, time to start on the engine!

Terrain looks nice but the beach just doesn't have a 'beachy' feel to it. Hopefully those ambiant features work.

I'll gladly be a tester. this sounds like it's coming together as a great map.

Nice, nice. Now about that Waterfall one, you could make the waterfall more better looking if you added the observers hallucinations dying, and one more thing about the marine thats standing there, whats the red little splots by him? Is that from the game or did you add that in there from Paint or something, because it looks like the Marine is bleeding.

Lol... Well, I had an enemy marine on patrol up there. And when I walked over there. My marine PWNED the other guy! kekeke.... Yeah, I am still adding sprites and what not. I am just being a little more on the conservative side. Right now, I am at 106 sprites throughout the map. But, I amstill placing them. The good thing is, only 10-12 are for covering blocky terrain.

The terrian in this map is going to be more isometric rather than extended terrain.

well i don't see hjow much more he can put on. I tihnk we should just wait for the map. He doesn't want to give everything away:P I think what he has is enough and should Tell us what hes up 2 when he gets more done.

sorry, i forget why i said i didnt like the terrain but now i love it. cant wait to see the rest of the storyline in-game.

Well, right now I am working on the engine. I will releas a playable demo at around 20-25% depends on how I am feeling. I have a feeling this is going to be a fun map! Not to sound arrogant. I am just really excited the way things are happening. Progress is going steady and is going at a good pace. Terrain is almost 100% complete, the actual storyline is still being written but I know where it's going. And the unit placement is almost done...

@ Ashamed. lol... I just read your post. I can't post too many screenshots. If I do, I'd might as well just post the map. You'll be able to see a wroking demo in a while. I am not makeing deadlines because those make me want to quit the ma. So, I am going to take my time and release a demo when I feel the time is right.

I don't think he will.. lol He got eveyone all excited . It sounds really cool. The title is Catchy. he seems to have progress quite fast. Some people never even get this far of the once that are posted.

@Jake: Do i get sneak pre-view of map sometime see how looks and all? I enjoy playing your maps and finding bugs hehe like in your Cruasder map. New screen shots look very nice good-job on your terrain so far can't wait for demo or full version of map. w00t w00t go go jake~ peace m8.

Lol yea well i been playing bits of different games and i dont like alt+tab from somethem like HL2 which can really slow game down due fact takes up alot cpu // ram. But anywoot i'll have look at it now before going too work m8.

The funny thing is, most of my SC buddies are all on MSN while mr real-life buddies are on AIM.
