Erm... The defiler has one of the longest visions in the entire game. If not the longest. Your best bet would be to use a spider mine, and constantly move that.

The only reason I know that is because I am using Vision Upgrades in my RPG.

You start off will small vision (spider-mine) and work your way up to super vision (defiler). tongue.gif

Well Kingra which one are you going to use for blindness? Blind with the medic's optimal flare? Or have a spider mine constantly under the main character, turn vision off for him, then turn vision on for the owner of the spider mine?

I think I'm going with the spider mine, because blinding would cause some annoyance with the hotkeyed Party Character. So Spider Mine will do, but I gotta test to see if it will slow the unit down and how much vision is enabled with it. Thanks for your help guys. happy.gif

Ok, I've been quite lazy about updates for a while, but I finally got up to it!

Note: I have been sucessful in moving the spider mine continuously under the Party Unit without slowing it down. Thanks to Bonelesskid/TriggaMasta for the help!
Thanks to Ragnarok Online for some names! I have yet to do the character bios, but enjoy what I have done!

Neat items and armors! Maybe some armor might be heavy enough to slow your party speed down. Your reviving potion is little bit low in price, I might be wrong though.

I want this thread to be a little more alive, so I'll point something out for you guys to discuss.

Okay...Some people might remember my topic on stopping zerg regeneration. Yeah, I'm still thinking about it. Should I go virtual HP? Or should I just leave zerg critters out of this? Well, the thing is, zerg units are the most common race for monsters in RPG, and we all can see why. Please, give me your opinion on what I should do.

Oh, yes, progress on this map is going extremely slow. I'm trying my hardest to make my terrain as perfect as possible. I'll show some screenshots whenever I can. happy.gif

Well i think u should just leave out the zerg because then if u did virtual u would have to change it for everything. And i will force you to make this map faster... lol not really happy.gif But good luck

I think that you should leave them out also because you would have to change just about everything to fit in there. But then taking them out would leave you a low choice on monsters, but you could just have Zerg as your storkeepers and other stuff that are neutral. And don't worry that you progress is going slow Kingra, you can take all the time you need on it because this sounds really good and it's very interesting indeed. biggrin.gif Good luck with working on your terrain and hope to see screenshots soon with you new finished terrain. biggrin.gif

Interesting concepts being used within this map, as well as a good story to back it, and very nice terrain.

How long do you expect your players to be playing your map (how long is the duration of the rpg)?

Will there be any mini-games that would affect the player's abilities? Or special quests? Or ultimate monsters as an added challenge to defeat? Or how about earning special abilities that affect non-battle situations?

I like the pooled mana concept. Simplistic.

Hopefully I will be able to play this RPG. Good luck.

There will be a LOT of side quests throughout the game. Most of them require a certain spell to complete. Some of these side quests lead you to obtain powerful items.

I'm still working on the spells. I'm gathering up a bunch of unique names for them, I'm not just going to name them "Flash bolt, Fire bolt, Ice bolt, Firewall, Carry, Push".

Sounds fun...But in my days of making rpgs and being with a true rpg community that uses programs to make actual rpgs...Ive found that most begginers normally use a storyline that goes... An evil guy thats totally strong and hes the king or a ruler who inslaves everyone and then the person gets his father killed and he goes out on a quest using rage... or just his dads is killed by a sorc ect... I like some of your screenies and ideas its just... Your story line seems generic...Ohh and the spells...Ice bolt, D2...Firebolt D2 firewall d2 and D1...Push and Pull both are on fable and Flash Bolt, Is on a game called Blade of kurashi or somthing for the sega... its a move that like is really crazy and emits all this lights and blinds shiet loads of stuff its cool

sounds like a good rpg.....you sould have a cloak ability for one of the units.....i mean like they cant be hit for a period of time....and can walk through other units to sneak around i have a concept about this and here it is.....well illl brb and post it k

Actually, the story is a lot more different then that. He is not longing to slay the person responsible for his father's death. When you play the RPG, you'll see...I don't want to give away too much information, considering I already have. happy.gif
And about those moves, I said I did not want to use those names. Read more carefully please. All those spells I named were taking from Ragnarok Online, except for Carry and Push, which were Golden Sun spells. (Push being the spell "Move")

I'm in for as may suggestion as possible, and I think this "Cloak" will only be used in nonbattle situations, considering being invincible for a period of time is way too overpowered. My head is bursting with spells, and Cloak was already imagined in my head. tongue.gif
