Devilesk, you are correct. Ice DOES take up more space than water. But it is less dense. It displaces more water than the water it actually has in it.

So DK, you're wrong. It doesent contribute really, hell, it anti-contributes because it makes it so that less water is displaced by those bloated icebergs!

Heh good old howstuffworks.com explains it all

Also I think that as the ice melts, when HUGE chunks break off and land in the water, they might create massive tsunamis.

Ah as I completed the article I read the part that said the ice on LAND would contribute to the sea level rising, such as on Greenland. w00t.gif

Regarding the ice melting situation, there is more information about the displacement issue in a Google Answer.

As for Hydrogen Fuel Cells, there is a lot of arguements around how effective they will actually be.

Just do a quick Google search and you'll find plenty to argue about in this area.

In the end, no matter the solution, it's going to cost us a lot of money if we want to survive through all of our problems. The unfortunate thing is that those who actually have power over these things may not be willing to pay that money.

This is why we build underground bunkers.

One of these days, aliens from outerspace will invade our planet and suck up all the oxygen on our planet and leave us to suffocate and die.

That's still no use. We're still going to die.
