It is so far from perfect! You require a unused comp and a location on map. And I haven't got none to spare.

It's able to do what you're trying to accomplish with a few thousand triggers by using just 3 triggers for each unit to kill. The comp does not have to be unused if it doesn't have to kill any units (e.g., neutral NPCs), and it would be much less hassle to squeeze in a location than making thousands of triggers, even if you have an effective trigger duplication method.

Alternatively you can just convert "Kills" or "Kills and Razings" scores to minerals, but that'd be truly far from perfect.

WOW I was so stupid wallbash.gif ! I miscalculated. It takes less than 40 seconds to DL 700KB (with my poor connection)! So WTF are you talking about! I think that it isn't a problem to wait 1.5 min. for a 2MB map either!

Most BNeters will not wait 40 seconds to dl a map. Some will, but you'd have to be lucky. 90 seconds, good luck finding someone who will stay. They would have to really think the map is good.

As I posted TWICE I will use simple kill score and death count combination in 1 trigger on unit! You should really read the posts above before posting! AND I only wanted to know will 50k triggers somehow affect my map!

700kb, 40 seconds, poor connection...

Sorry buddy but there's no way it happens THAT fast. I don't know what the hell you used to calculate.

Well

1-180 Kbit per sec. (my connection speed)
2-180/8= 22.5KB per sec. (bits to bytes)
3-700KB/22.5= 31.1 sec. (download time)

It sure looks fine for me.

Theres a difference between your download speed and your connection speed.
My cable modem, although I get connection speeds around 500kbs, I download things at about 70kbs.

And that's because connection speed is Kbit per sec. but DL speed is KB per sec. To get your actual DL speed you must divide your connection speed with 8 (1byte=8bits). I download stuff from SEN with about 18-20KB per sec.

KB = Kilobytes
1 kilobit would be 125 bytes which is also .125 kilobytes

Your connection speed is kilobytes per second. The fact is your computer needs to store the data after downloading it. That is why there is a difference between download speed and connection speed. Not to mention people on Starcraft are UPLOADING to you.

My connection speed is 500kbps. I download at 70kbps. I upload at around 40-50kbps. Now you cannot download faster than I am uploading.

Downloading directly from the web and using a P2P program like Starcraft is a completely different thing. You also need to consider the other person's upload speed. You also download from that one person and only that one person. The download rate while receiving maps is practically half. I can download a 1MB map from SEN, taking 10-20 seconds or whatever the hell I download at, and download a 1MB map from MrrLL on Battle.net, taking at least an hour because of his :poo:ty connection.

Lol "shi t" is replaced by ":poo :", but it doesn't work.
