That's not true. Studies have shown that when crimes in general go up, gun sales go up, but when gun sales go up, crime does not go up. So the amount of guns being sold has little to no effect on the amount of crimes.
What about gun sales going down? I dont think that will decrease the crimes. Hell, it might increase it. And the crimes may not go up when more guns are sold because more citizens are armed. So what you yourself said is that we should sell more guns because it will not affect the crime-rate.
I think that you should not have to register guns. You should be
able to, but not necesary. We need to educate people on proper gun use, which is the problem. Noone knows how to use a gun!
I agree with Dr.Shotgun in the sense that the average person does not need an M-16 or Sniper Rifle, a handgun is sufficient.
