OMG go and test it drool.gif . Yes it will be neutral but auto attack remain. I use it a lot BTW.

You can always give the units to a player over 20 (just to be safe, i know it has to be at least over 13-15). They do work and since you use starforge i know it works. It will be awsome because the enemies will be black and yet have that yellow clock over them to indicate neutral but they still follow orders. Also, its impossible to have 8 player defence map because you HAVE to have one of them for actually creating the enemy units. It's the only way. Max possible is 7 players. Sry to burst your bubble. You could always make it a 6 player defence closedeyes.gif

You are wrong. You can make it like p1 must be in game. So p1 keeps all the triggers. If p1 leaves game ends. Very good if host is p1, doesn't need to wait till all noobs leave game for rm...
8 player defence is very possible and Sickoe_DT_ is going for it tongue.gif .

ADDITION:
Also you can divide spawn triggers to players who defend against those units. Like if p12(p2) units attacking p1 then p1 spawn them, p12(p3) attack p2 then p2 spawn them and so on...Then if player leaves or isn't in game at all then units doesn't spawn for that player.

By the way, I believe that it's possible to trigger-set the stance of players 1-8 towards player 12 to 'enemy' using Starforge/SCMD2

Player 12 units will never attack any other units, but if units are given from your enemy to player 12, then your units will still attack those units that used to belong to your enemy.
(I know this has already been said, I'm just trying to make it clearer.)

But try using triggers to continuously set p12 to enemy. See if p1 will attack units that used to belong to himself.

well try readin the first page threw and actualy trying it for urself and i assure u the information is all laggit and works!
This map will be fully working in a couple more days, i will even post it on the site to show that 8player defenses can be done.

Sorry, but you can't order units with player 12. I tried making a map where units were moved, then given to a different player and they immediately stopped.

well, I THINK that's what happened...test that first before you work hard on the map!

When you give unit to form any player to any player it will stop all it's current orders and AIs. But you can order p12 units directly.

Thats not true, because triggers owned by Player 12 do not work. Even try it out for yourself.

You cannot order units owned by player 12 colors with non-player 12 colors because orders only work for the current player.

Um..NO! Orders do NOT work only for current player. I make map right now that has p12 orders and many other orders like p1 has trigger that orders p4 to move....

Ah, you are right. I remembered that something was missing in the order function, and thought it was the owner (it was the quantity of ordered units). Sorry.
