I hope v5 comes up soon SeN could use alittle boost on morale since all the drama of people leaving and stuff is going on..

Y'all talk about much dumber things than the death of SEN. I think discussing how much the funeral will cost isn't stupid or dramatic.

I'm not crying over yoshi leaving, I just think SC Is boring.
There aren't enough new aspects to it and the map editor isn't complex enough :\

that was a little random you havn't been on for such a long time mario. Sen will be fine.. We still have an admin and minimoose it good enough for sure. We have a stable amout of members and thats what makes a forum. (and a web provider)

Well the problem is that one day it will Die im have no doubt, but is that today? no probably not even tommorow so you need to just chill and enjoy it while its still here.

If Yoshi or whoever that left wants to move on with there life then good for them and i wish them luck, but :censored:ing about the past won't bring yoshi or any of them back so w/e .

SEN isn't dying, the quality of the community at SEN is decreasing (and has hit nearly rock bottom).

SEN will never die, just because many people are taking breaks doesent mean it will die

1 thing i dont like about this site now is MrrLL being Dldb keeper he banned me from Channel cause of stupid flameing we both did in a thread and hes constantly flaming me replace him with n2o or some on.

Yep, I banned you from the site, we all know DLDB keepers can do that.

If you were meaning the channel, I banned you because you were using some hack to flood with a fake virus thing.

i dont think its close to hitting rock bottom in the quality until hackers (the bad noob stupid ones) start coming in.

It's not SEN that's dying, it's map making in general. Map quality has been declining ever since the release of the extra editors. There's no next generation of map makers. SEN may not die, but map making probably will. Too many people don't even know the basics of map making, don't know that extra editors even exist, don't know the 'need to knows' of map making.
The quality is slipping, and it doesn't look like it'll stop anytime soon.[/center]

eh. Strange how all this stuff is happening. A few map makers quit SC now, and im getting bored to death of map making. It hurts just working on a map. SEN wont die, but if map making does..then SEN will lose a hugh chunk of itself.

i think it will come to a point were a person cant make a map witout it have already been made then the only way to go is half or more ppl on starcraft will sudenly leave or turn to melee then it might start again or just die...

There just seems to be a lack of vigor and enthusiasm all around. The old bonds have weakened and the sense of community has, for the large part, disappeared. There's nothing new or exciting to keep us together, so we're falling apart. If you don't consider the quality of the community important, what do you think is important? I'd say a good majority of people here don't worry about map making anymore, and that's the entire reason this site was founded in the first place. Why are we falling apart? We're not focused on map making. There are better and more comprehensive sites for gaming, for literature, for music, for everything else that we put in for more stuff to do, but the quality is greatly decreasing because all of this rubbish is coming in. It's not a mature enough atmosphere for all of the "serious" discussion, yet we let it go. SEN has to evolve, or it will die.

The main reason why I think we appear to be slowing down at an alarming rate, as said, is that most of the regulars, or the "oldies" of SEN don't even map make anymore. Most of them post in lite, null, serious, creative and games, but I rarely see some of them drop by to comment on maps in productions, help other people with map assistance, and showcase. If more people started paying attention to the mapping section of the site, it could be much better.

Except that if you knew anything about life or death you'd know it to encompass soul as well, which is what SEN is really about.

So I'll translate dead and alive in terms of SEN. It is a metaphor which refers to the state that SEN is in. Alive means active and full of activity with quality members. Dead means the opposite of that.
